There are recent studies showing that current immigration flows are a net drain on western societies, and the cost to social cohesion is important also.
You are in no way "paying for it". Immigrants make slightly higher salaries on average than native born Canadians do, so they actually contribute more taxes per capita than you do. I'm the son of an immigrant and I'm so angry with what the Liberals have done. I don't even want immigration for the next 3-4 years. They keep focusing on low wage jobs what about high wage jobs? This is generally the case in Ontario, and not in other provinces. So please don't generalize that all Indians do this. Many come here to study in top ranked universities and then they think about all this later, unlike in Ontario where the case you are describing applies where people generally come there for their diploma as a way to enter in Canada (excluding some top universities in Ontario) and not to study then they do all the things you mentioned. But you can't generalize that all Indians are like that only.

Apparently we DO have the ability (so far) to house them, and don't need to educate them since they arrive more educated already. And the CONTRIBUTE more to social services than Canadians do, since they make slightly more money. Not the other way around.

Do we want to deprive Canadians of a job while pandering to these fake students? 9) Revoke the licenses of these immigration agents who are giving false hope to applicants of student visas. Canada must repeat what it did in the 1930's and the 1940's. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak the English language fluently. Nobody I know is positive about the current immigration numbers. In fact, polls in most western countries over the past 10-20 years have shown that around 80% of the public do NOT support mass migration at all, and in that time, virtually every western country's government has ignored this and INCREASED the migration numbers. Canada's population just hit 40M this past year and is already about to hit 42M. WTF is that? 40M should be the max. There is no reason to increase the population beyond that and there are only negatives to doing so, especially when 99% of the immigration is coming from third world countries with cultures that are antithetical to our own. As for "don't blame everything on immigration", well, I'd say 90% of the problems that exist in Canada (and the west) right now are due to WAAY too aggressive immigration policies. Wages are not stagnant, wages adjusted for inflation are higher than at any point in Canadian history right now, plus or minus a year or two (the data doesn't get released instantly, so I can't guarantee 2024 is the tippy top, but 2022 is at least). Borrowing: that was because of disease response not immigration.

More people are financially destitute because banks saddled them with ruinous predatory loans for houses priced 2-10 times higher than is sustainable. Here are five cities in Canada where we could use more people since the population has been declining in them: Port Cartier QC, Dryden ON, Thompson MB, Sainte-Anne Des Monts QC, Estevan SK.

Immigration policy and immigrants are the problem along with the government throwing out money left and left.
Take a lesson from the US and the UK-- the cows are out of the barn. Quebec does not have the funds nor the staff to adequately house, educate and supply medical and social services to a large influx of immigrants. Their admission to reside in Quebec must come with the advice and consent of the local government, not from a bureaucrat from Ottawa nor at the expense of the voters.
Immigrants are better educated on average than native born Canadians (Not because their home countries are doing better but because we filter the best ones for us). They are quite a bit more likely to have a bachelor's degree. They also make slightly higher salaries on average than native born Canadians at the same age. Meanwhile, home ownership is higher right now than any point in the 20th century. Apparently we DO have the ability (so far) to house them, and don't need to educate them since they arrive more educated already. And the CONTRIBUTE more to social services than Canadians do, since they make slightly more money. Not the other way around.

1) When a single strip plaza in Brampton hosts 6 online colleges that offer 1 year programs in the most ridiculous fields and the rest of the plaza is occupied with immigration agents, you should know we have a problem.

Nobody I know is positive about the current immigration numbers. In fact, polls in most western countries over the past 10-20 years have shown that around 80% of the public do NOT support mass migration at all, and in that time, virtually every western country's government has ignored this and INCREASED the migration numbers. Canada's population just hit 40M this past year and is already about to hit 42M. WTF is that? 40M should be the max. There is no reason to increase the population beyond that and there are only negatives to doing so, especially when 99% of the immigration is coming from third world countries with cultures that are antithetical to our own.
As for "don't blame everything on immigration", well, I'd say 90% of the problems that exist in Canada (and the west) right now are due to WAAY too aggressive immigration policies. I guarantee housing problems, rent prices, social strife wouldn't exist nearly at the same level if immigration numbers were reduced down by 90% of what they have been the past 10 years.

Wages are not stagnant, wages adjusted for inflation are higher than at any point in Canadian history right now, plus or minus a year or two (the data doesn't get released instantly, so I can't guarantee 2024 is the tippy top, but 2022 is at least). Borrowing: that was because of disease response not immigration.
