These flip flop diverters works well when gravity (pulling the ball down) is involved but in your case you might run into cases where the thing will stay in the middle. You might want to find a way to make sure iit stays in either one of the position
This is old, but I had a thought. Where the exit hole comes out, you could add another diverter. Maybe so one side goes the way you have it and the other kicks it onto your upper playfield or something.
Getting better and better;-). The mechanical diverter is a great thing. I also know them from marble machines. I see.......this is getting a great machine! My machine makes also good progress. So motivating to see other people putting much love and work into this machines;-) Keep on the great work!
@@thepinballroom Yes mine too;-). Had a lot electric/mechanical projects in the past.....but the pinball projects are the most fun. .......and also 100 times more time consuming as you ever expect;-)
Steve i was on holiday last week at the seaside and I walked into an arcade and seen the Deadpool pinball machine. I hadn't seen it in person upto that point so after looking at the playfield I instantly was blown away. I played it and man is it a fun machine to play. It was also the first time I seen the new screens on the backboard and I have to say they are amazing. I played a game and I had to force myself away from it otherwise I would have had no money left 🤣 i can see why you bought it, never sell it ha ha
Hi Steve, just planning my ramps and I don't have a pin at home to look up from. How wide must the entry of the ramp be? And how tall should it be to not disturb the playfield below the ramp?
Entrances to ramps vary, I think I covered it in my playfield design video - but I feel like the typical ramp entrance is about 44-48mm - my side ramp is about 65mm but only because it's at a weird angle on the playfield, my right ramp is 44mm wide, as for height, the ball is 22mm high, so I'd allow at least 30mm- but it also is dependent on where the ramp leads to and what it needs to go over and around, you might need it higher
Are you going to have a black dog on the playfield? Kind of make sense. I've seen the stern led Zeppelin game and I noticed no black dog nowhere on the playfield.
Cool.. black dog is literally the first led Zeppelin song that introduced led Zeppelin.. even though none of the lyrics refers black dog.. But it's been a long time since I rock and rolled.. And those opening drum beats from John Bonham.. Truly classic.. even though I'm more Keith Moon fan. John Bonham beats cannot be ignored.. at all. As a metal and rock fan.
Hi, I have a question about Right Ramp Jun092022.f3d, project looks slightly different from what is presented in the video, looking at the project, rear connector doesn't seem to fit the diverter holder part. Am I missing something here? Is this the full proj file for this ramp? Also I couldn't find the diverter itself on your google drive. Any guidance will be much appreciated! Thank you
Hey s1mon1231! Ok, I checked the file, and it's the right one. It's a couple of iterations newer than what was in the video. The "rear connector" pieces aren't part of the right ramp, but are in the same file, they're the pieces for the upper playfield that catch the ball when it goes behind the targets on the upper playfield. Let me know if you have any questions!
Awesome work! Learned a lot from these series of videos, and I can't wait to see the final, finished machine. I'm definitively going to start making my own as soon as I get the tools. I, however, am gonna bite BIG and try to make the one from the video game "Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey", and I'm not sure if it'll even be possible. At least I'm good with 3D designing and electronics so I can probably make custom parts. Keep up the good work, you earned a sub ;)
Oh wow, I’m not familiar with that game, I’ll have to google it- glad you’re liking the videos, I hope they’re helpful in some small way for folks cuz it’s so much fun trying to build this thing 😃
But I can honestly say if I could afford the stern GODZILLA. Would definitely be getting the premium. Just to see the bridge and building being destroyed mecs.
I'm realizing i can watch this whole series a second time and get just as much awesome information! Never ending entertainment, learning and wisdom.
I wish I had found your channel ages ago. You deserve way more followers.
Very nice! Maybe a bit tight but I'm impressed that the diverter doesn't get stuck, so well done
Thanks!! It definitely needs more tweaking to polish up the shots but we’ll get there!
This is great! Love the long ramp with the diverter behind the back.
Thanks!
Nice project. Following for sure. Can’t wait for a next episode and end results.
Thanks!! Lots of episodes before the final result tho, haha, we’re just getting started 😄

Yep, it’s only working I’d say 80-90 % of the time rn, so I’ve already got a modification ready to print haha

Loving it more and more. Great work!
I can't tell you how much fun this is to do!!
So far so good.
When it comes time to thermoform, make sure you put some draft on those ramps.
Thanks for the tip!
I love this channel.

Hey! great videos! (just started watching your playlist) and easy fix, but the playlist is built backwards. Can you reorder so it autoplays in order?
Oh wow sorry had no idea, just left it on whatever defaults were. Try it again now and tell me if it’s fixed or not, ok?
@@thepinballroom That was fast! clicked the next video and playlist updated. TY TY! beyond excited! just starting #3!
@@fsdhgkllr5tregcvnchd awesome! Glad it’s working properly now, thanks for letting me know!
