In this video, I plink around with 3 of my newest 1911s. They're chambered in 9mm, 45acp, and 10mm. Here's my thinking: 9mm for fast pace plinking or maybe competition, 10mm for hunting or self protecting in a woods walk, and 45acp because, it's a 1911... Either way, it's best to have options. Plus I will never have enough 1911s. These models were the Springfield Armory Range Officer Operator (9mm) LAV Master Class (.45) and TRP Operator Longslide (10mm) Thank y'all for watching!
If you can never have enough 1911's and are collecting them up you can save a large sum of money buy looking at Rock Islands line and modifying them with all the Wilson Combat or Less Bear parts to personalize. I bought there 10mm 1911 and customized it to my specs. I read that Rock Island purchased all of Colts old machinery when they upgraded to CNC equipment.

9 mm gets so much hype, and it is so weak compared to other calibers. I would agree, if you wanted to just go to the range and shoot cheaply, the 9 mm is fine. But if you're going to carry one, 45, 40, and 10 mm especially are way better choices. The military, the FBI, and law enforcement use 9mm, because small men and women can qualify with it. Not because it's a better cartridge.

I just about clicked out of the video till I found out what's up lol
Yes, I shoot all three calibers myself, with multiple choices of each. May I suggest you not limit yourself to one brand?
I definitely don’t “limit” myself? Lol, I just thought it would be cool to bring 3 different calibers of the same manufacturer with similar colors. Guess not? Haha
@@TexasPlinking I meant manufacturer, IMO Springfield is okay, but there are lots of choices.
Should also get a 911 in 380 or 9mm to continue the black and green trend
I own the five inch 10 MM , it’s a good shooter
I’m deciding between getting a 10mm and 9mm Kriss Vector for personal defense, which should I get?
The Springfield ronin is a stainless frame you putz
Very cool
10mm is king
Now all you need one in 38 Super. You know, just to even out the collection. Your wife will understand.
I have the 10 mm in a single stack and I have the baby rock 380 in 1911 same as the 10mm guess the 9mm will be next, for the money I an real impressed with the rock island line up. I have the .45 in a colt government model just can't be unload to that one. Lol
.
Is the 9mm version noticeably less loud? Nice video thx
thats accurate man
Regardless of the caliber of choice, just remember: "We can't expect God to do all the work"
10mm makes everything else feel like girly guns .. good video..nice intro LOL ..i have 9's 45's and 10mm 's...they're all acceptable
9mm at 45 are not that different when it comes to ballistic test you have no idea what your talking about
BRA just got the ronin .45 can u do a tutorial on how to remove the fiber optic I wanna go green but the sight on 1911 Springfield's are slightly different than YT vids that are out
Looking around 10mm costs around 15$ more than 9mm. Is that pretty normal or is that pandemic pricing. Im looking for a pcc and I really would prefer 10mm but if it cost that much more to shoot. Ehhhhhhh idk. Any replys thank you.
Learn to reload. Everything cheaper that way. Especially rifle. Hodgdon has great website.
As far as muzzle flip goes. HOLD THE GUN TIGHTLY. Its moving around in your strong hand

Why not pull the trigger while dropping the slide. The gun was designed to function that way, the trigger holding the disconnector. That is what happens every time you shoot= the slide slams forward while the trigger is pulled.
