- While in Antigua and Barbuda, one shop we drove by a few times was Tony’s Barber Shop in Cobbs Cross near English Harbour. This barbershop is popular with locals and the yachting community.
When we stopped by, we met 32-year-old Omari Roberts who was born and raised in the area. We noticed right away that Omari is a very friendly, humble person with a great sense of humor and positive attitude. I decided to have some facial hair grooming and an eyebrow trim.
Omari has been barbering for over 10 years, and he decided to become a barber because he liked the art form. He was taught by his cousin Tony who owns the barbershop. What's important to Omari is that his customers love their hair when he's finished cutting. He would love every customer to come and enjoy the good services they offer.

Basic shave. Very minimalistic, but refined. Rather than focus on the products he can apply and sell the experience associated with a character using such products to groom our facial hair, he uses just his eyes, hands, and a blade. Every shave had a purpose.

Ah yes Antigua, was there 2 years ago. Stayed at the Inn in English Harbor. Had a rental Wrangler from Big's I think in english harbor, went with my father all the way up to Mt. Obama and the guys at the top let us into the radar station compound to take pictures from the surroundings. Wildest vacation I ever had, Ha!

You can't get a haircut? Im in Ohio and hair cut salons never shut down at all. They were restrictive with rules but always open
@@code_name_cody In England we've been in lockdown since December. The virus has been rampant here. Only supermarkets and a few other things (school for vulnerable children, health shops etc.) are open. Hairdressers, gyms etc. aren't reopening until April 12th.

I know he probably has no experience with Caucasian hair but man this was hard to watch no pre shave oil no hot towel to open the pores no lather he didn't properly stretch the skin and he basically didn't shave anything obviously no real training but I mean at least he sanitised his gear

Isoplus Oil Sheen Hair Spray is an interesting shave lubricant.
I was so intrigued but this ! How doesn't that just dry and gunk up ?
So bizarre, and it seems like he was trying to hide it by spraying it in his hand and rubbing it on him.
Yeah found it odd considering there are quite a few natural soaps made in the Caribbean that have been used for shaving. Before palm oil my cousin used to use cuaba soap , like my grandparents did for shaving. Basic sodium tallowate with coconut and palm oils. A little on the skin makes it slick. Hell I've used it a few times when in a hurry

That song warns something about not going to a new barber. And I found it is wrong. Been going to a place for almost 2 years and I found a better place in a town to the north. It's even cheaper. Then I went east to a frozen lake. Barber said the road comes back around to his shop. He failed to mention I'd have to turn. That road wound up and down a snow and ice covered road and I kept thinking it should get back to a highway. It leads to the lake only. Or if there is a way out I never found it! Slick hills for 35mph but I made it out.
