I didn't realize until halfway through this movie that I had seen it before. I laughed too hard, Edward E. Horton is sooooo funny, in anything. A fun movie.
I've seen this one a few times--it's that good and it takes repeated viewing to truly appreciate the witty and clever script and ensemble acting as Edward Everett Horton really chews up the scenery in two roles so it's easy to miss how good the other actors/actresses are as well! It's too bad actresses like Maude Eburne and the other actresses aren't better known today, because they're wonderful in this delightful film--don't miss it, especially if you like the farce film comedy genre! By the way, Charlie Ruggles did Edward Everett Horton's parts in the original stage play and I would have loved to have seen his take on the role as he is also a marvelous and witty comedian but Edward Everett Horton is fantastic in this!

That’s when the fun begins, with Mr Horton playing two roles at the same time-with the butler gone crazy and drunk and the mother-in -law befuddled! It all clears up at the end of the flick! (Hahaha! ) great movie! 🍿 👀🥰😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🙌💥😊😊😊
