  • I searched high and low for a reason why my step would not retract and over time figured it out on my own , So I hope this video helps all you power steppers out there that have the same problem as I did.

I have a 2014 f150 limited and a 2014 Lincoln Navigator both with power boards, every month I hand spray the hinges after they dry I spray them with dry lube. Then I use a silicone spray during the winter months.

I am getting an F150 like this soon, I noticed one step is in, one out. Hope this works! I have plastic bottles with various penetrants with very thin, long needles for this. Compressed air may work too.

Spray some Fluid Film on them It will protect the grease you just put on.

You may have to pressure wash while the step is up or you can put light down pressure when you open the door.

I have the same problem on the driver's side. It won't deploy and is frozen stuck even with manual force. Pentetrating oil doesn't work either. You can't remove the board unless its deployed. Probably need a Sawzall.

you can remove the boards while up but it's not fun the one bolt by the motor to the bottom frame is terrible to remove. took about 1.5 to 2 hrs

@@bradvincet1848did you figure it out? There are 4 Allen screws at the bottom which take the board off
