This guy is mercedes guy i can tell, GT3RS best car i ever own and probably thebest car in the world, quality, soujd system and everything is perfect, this guy has no clue about cars at all
I daily drive my GT3RS…….for all the negative reasons you listed….of course I live in Florida where the roads are nicer….by the way; 991.2 has a much better sound system
Great video and thank you for sharing your thoughts on your own GT3 RS for us all to have an idea of what this is like. I run an automotive TH-cam channel myself and if you ever would like to collaborate please feel free to let me know. I recently shared a film on a 991.1 GT3 RS replica on my last video and I am a huge Porsche fan 👍 Keep up the great content 🙂
The ride is nasty. I worked for a supercar ride experience in purchasing and then a high-end rental company again in purchasing so I had multiple cars to break in for hundreds of miles. The Porsche GT models now needed a small run in time but still, the car was just too much for daily driving.
@@CarLifeIsContent Funny enough with all the cars I drove I preferred hot batches. As I wasn't weird about the 24/7 parking, driving, stolen etc I would have a rs5 or 6 maybe my age now.
I think it depends on where you live and where you have to go. If I lived in the mountains and the shops were a solid 30 min alpine pass route…I could make it work 😂
Want to daily or must daily is two different things. If you can afford this for what it is then you have the want to daily it. If you can't afford to not daily this then NO.
Even if it was a more practical daily, I just couldn't see trusting knuckleheads to park in any proximity to me at the market...shopping carts etc. Definitely a lifer car imo(i wouldn'tsell it)....the creme of the Carrera crop !! 🏁
I agree with all you say, i got a GT3 and i would dread using it every day for everything. There's way more comfortable "easy" cars for that. And yeas, the sound system sucks xD
Is it? I'm not sure where I first heard it, but i've been saying it for 15 years+. It's a such synonym for roll cage I don't even realise I'm saying it.
I am Male, 26/Single/No Children* - I sold my ‘13 911 997.2 (2013 911 being manual/TTS spec) & bought a 992.1 GT3 RS *non weissach* Its a MONSTER. Revs out to 9,000 RPM W/ 7 GEARS. It NEVER wants to STOP accelerating. Foot to floor going, I am already at ~145MPH when I’m leaving 4th gear into 5th gear, with all of 5th, 6th, and 7th to GO. BUT If you respect her, she won’t kill you. I agree, it ONLY wants you to FLY. But I’ve been enjoying it being my Daily Driver. This reviewer sounds really whiny. Obviously there’s time for another car. Go get yourself a Aston sweetie 😂
I did in mine - 30k miles. Waitrose regularly. Why buy it if you don’t enjoy it. People are only interested in residuals - these are not to be locked away to impress and never be driven.
Of course you can daily it but why would you? Mine goes from the garage to mountain roads back to the garage. Have never and will never park it anywhere other than my shop.
Eating steak everyday DOES NOT lead you to an early grave!! Stop with the nonsense, you’re not a nutritionist or a doctor to be saying that. Contrary to popular belief, for some people is very healthy to go carnivore, in fact some reduce and in cases revert deseases. So yeah, id daily a GT3RS because i love it and because of that of could never feel dull like you say it would. True enthusiast drive their passion.
This is a bit dogmatic. You don't just say, "Because I love it. I'd never get tired of it daily." If you owned the car for a good while, that's fine. But if you haven't, then you're simply speculating how you'd feel dailying the car. Since the video publisher is an owner, his opinions have a greater merit than those of us non-owners. I'd lean on the side of merit than just some enthusiasm.
enthusiasm is like a fire that if not controlled, disciplined, tamed ... will surely eventually hurt your back because those harsh carbon bucket seats simply give your spine punches with every single bump on the road. Instead, get a daily (switch of the fire during the week) and on weekends, light that blaze till you threaten the suns existence. Then come Monday, you have an excuse to not go to work without feeling guilty.

I drive my GT3RS all year, uphill both ways in the snow, rain, hail... everything!
...i HAVE to, i had to sell my home to buy it!
Me too and no regrets except my house wld be worth much more today but i cld die tmw is my motto
bad buy...

Good to know about the upgraded sound system on the .2 thanks!
@@CarLifeIsContent you are welcome……I forgot to mention; sensors and backup camera very handy
Yeah I'd use a GT3RS daily. But I don't live in the UK with roads that feel like a teenagers face. That kinda helps...
Teenagers face.. that's a new one. 😂😂😂
great review , but why a Mercedes AMG Petronas jersey in a Porsche ?
Do I have to dress like this? th-cam.com/video/JLXurOvsgXE/w-d-xo.html

Thanks! I've seen Paul's replicas, they look pretty good!

Interesting insight!

Very good point, I totally agree!
I would look forward to go shopping....and not for the shopping..lol

That's also true, not to mention the potential for spiteful vandals to do their worst.

I'd be fine with dailying a GT3 but the RS is automatic only and that's a pass for me.
An honest video at last no bragging or showing off well done
Did he just call a roll cage "scaffolding" ?! Lol
😂😂😂
It’s a Jeremy Clarkson thing
Is it? I'm not sure where I first heard it, but i've been saying it for 15 years+. It's a such synonym for roll cage I don't even realise I'm saying it.
I daily drive mine, no problems at all?
Yes I have problems daily driving mine, for all the reasons I mention in the video. Well done for being committed!
@@CarLifeIsContent however excellent content….

What I Needed To Hear
Great video, the steak analogy was spot on ... all the reasons that apply to that, relatively apply to daily-ing the GT3rs
Thanks I thought it was total gibberish 😂😂👍👍
@@CarLifeIsContent nah, it was genuine.
@@CarLifeIsContent oh and btw nice line up you got in your collection, your surely not missing out on much if anything at all.

Which version is it? 991, 991.2?
991.1, Maybe the easiest way to tell on any 991 is the rear lights. On a .1 they are flush, on a .2 they have ridges on them.
id daily drive the RS, but you also have bucket seats, those things are brutal daily driving. I'd most likely go with sofas.
Yes, it isn't problem but there are much more comfortable vehicles to daily in e.g 991/992/718 4L NA GTS.
It's a daily for a dude
This is the best comment 👌
Of course you can daily it but why would you? Mine goes from the garage to mountain roads back to the garage. Have never and will never park it anywhere other than my shop.
talking down a porsche cringe
It's not cringe he's being honest. It's very firm and bumpy on British roads anyway lol
I could daily that and Date in it no problem.
Dude, you haven’t used the harness ever?.. you don’t look like you have any belt on in this vid mate😮
Think the belt is white. Hidden on his jumper. I thought same to for a minute
I drove one and I definitely wouldn't daily drive it
A tee shirt AMG ! Ridiculous!
Beautiful car!
Use the car for whatever you want it for.....why does it matter either way?
Agree!
that big space behind your seat,, i bet a lot of cargo would fit:P
Of course, unfortunately the roll cage is difficult to navigate and the seats don't fold.
Is this shark or voodoo blue?
Voodoo. As far as we know this is 1 of 2 remaining rhd
.1 3rs cars in this blue.
And my back would crumble
It's a firm ride, thats for sure!
What's the benefit of the bucket seats over the other one?
Bucket seats really keep you in place when going around corners fast, down side is they are harder to get in and out of!
@@CarLifeIsContent
Thank you for the reply. What are your thoughts on the new GT3? Would you get it?
I would need to drive one, but reading around my view is it's probably a little harsh for me (992 gt3 is regarded as a harsher ride than the 991 3rs).
You’d lose the specialness if you daily it too! Keeping it for the special trips makes you enjoy it more
100% mate!
Also I imagine the service schedule is a bit aggressive for a daily driver, how many miles between services on that?
It's 10k (I think) or 2 years. 👌
How much do they recommend or how much can you get away with😌
