very inspiring to see all the hard work that went into those beautiful performances. I ride dressage (so it's my horse that does the dancing!) and my experience is that those "frustrating" lessons where nothing seems to go right are the ones you learn the most from :)
You are so amazing Robbie! I'm 13 and I dance and I'm going onto pointe this year so I've been watching a lot of your videos and you are amazing! You will make it big one day! Xxx love you so much
Robbie, can you post more videos of Mr. Max coaching you? The instruction is just amazing and I'm sure other dancers out there, like me, would love to glean as much as possible! Great work!!
I would get so frustrated, I could never do a huge competition like this. But I guess I've never done one really, you don't have them here :D You're amazingly talented, and I hope I'm as good as you when I go on pointe next month!
I noticed that when you you do attitude back, you tend to sacrifice your alignment for height. Instead of moving your ribs to the side, take them straight forward. It also helps keep your leg right behind you instead of diagonally. Good luck in YAGP :)
good work with your russian teacher!!! what I see is when you are going to do a more difficult step or double pirouette you round your shoulders to gain strength and this is not helping you. Just keep nice a open your shoulders and it will keep you shaped and strong to finish clean and clear. Just add a stronger turn out demiplie, brush that food to gain momentum to the jump a la second, ups this is x the other variation. Good luck, and excellent work!!!
Beautiful! Any tips for beginning pointe or how to improve on gracefulness? You have a beautiful presence that I would love to acquire in my dancing :)
i think you have to work your arms and hands..they seem weak, without energy...the streching start from the back, then arms and hands, i think you can give them beautiful moves. Well, anyway incredible progress!!!
Robbie i need some help, I have no strength at all on the right leg, I can't do developes, But my arabesque in that leg is just perfect. In the other leg is the completly opposite. my depelope it's great, but I can't do arabesque. What can i do? I have audition for Clara in a few weeks and i rreally want to improve... Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Venezuela.. Btw... i saw all your video, great work!
Maybe inner thigh exercises and strangthen your back. Have someone hold your feet while on stomach and lift your back or do smaller ones by yourself. Try pulses in your arabesque or put your leg on barre like arabesque then raise it few inches up and hold it then go back to barre. You have good English I can't speak any other language at the moment!
robbie, when you ran the variation at the end it was so beautiful it made me want to cry :,) you're amazing
What a beautiful variation. The music is so sweet (Riccardo Drigo). Thanks for sharing this process with us!

What shoes do you wear?
These are Suffolk Stellar but have been glued a few times. Not looking so good.

Do you ever feel awkward with having a male teacher?
No. Not at all. I'm used to it I guess. =)
I would have such a crush on him if I were his student

You are a good dancer but you should work on your arms and your face expression
Great job Robbie!!
