It would have been cool if, when you try to out of the map, the environment stops you, like a huge storm with constant giant waves and, potentially, krakens attacking your boat instead of just being desyncronized
this game was incredibly fun probably my favorite assassins creed game ever. being able to sail around the ocean on a huge ship and visit islands was really cool

I'm new to this series, started on Odyssey, still gotta finish fate of atlantis and also playing Valhalla Ragnarok but I really am excited to backtrack and play these beautiful games
To be fair, gameplay and graphics will get worse, if you go that way around. :D Witch could damage your experience, and that wouldn't be fair to the great story those games tell. I'd suggest to at least read the stories from AC 1 and 2 and start with brotherhood, or with AC2 since story wise you'll learn the most there, AC1 startet all, AC2 basically is the actual start of the journey and you'll propably never forget about the adventures of ezio auditore. :D Those games made a full generation of gamers ... experience one of the best game series in their whole life. You propably can skip Syndicate and Unity, not a very good story, and generally very boring. I played all of the AC games since the 1st, but i couldn't get over 5 hours in those 2 together.

No it isn't. Giant Squid can't take down Sperm Whales, the weight difference isn't even close. That's the whole reason the AC writers showed this kind of fight, in the first place, because they assumed people were smart enough to know a 400kg Squid can't take down a 30 ton Sperm Whale.
