I just watched a documentary on the origins of the kraken myth last night.

Why it doesn't work for me?

Atypical AC but i loved it.

I hate underwater games. They scare the living fuck out of me lol. I remember quitting this game specifically because I was so scared of the underwater exploration and the freaking sharks. I don't mind dark places in horror games all that much, but the sea? Yikes.

As much as I think it would have been too fantastical for Assassin's Creed, an actual Kraken boss fight in Black Flag would have been sick.

Guys the kraken is what people called colossal squid before their existence had been proven by more than anecdotes. Someone in Edward's time and place probably would have called it that. So I guess it kind of both is and isn't

You see I have experience in this game that is a giant squid its trying to defeat the white whale/Moby dick

this game was incredibly fun probably my favorite assassins creed game ever. being able to sail around the ocean on a huge ship and visit islands was really cool

It would have been cool if, when you try to out of the map, the environment stops you, like a huge storm with constant giant waves and, potentially, krakens attacking your boat instead of just being desyncronized
