The Colorado mountains turned white this weekend and we took full advantage! Took the JL snow wheeling and gave the tires a proper test!
We had a ton of fun and I hope you all enjoy the video!

Finally some XJ's showing themselves, represent my brethren! Snow/ice is always an added challenge, while I hate the cold, I love to play in the snow in the Jeep! Yeah!
Yes it is, that's a new crack on your windshield, better have it changed before it's too late, be on the safe side always coz we are enjoying all your adventures!

Grew up in Longmont CO running those trails in trucks and Blazers back in the day. Living in South Carolina now and your videos make me to jack up and pack up.
Snow conditions make a difference. In the Sierras we get that heavy wet snow, so you get stopped because you do start "snow" plowing and it builds up. Dry powdered snow you can blast through it. But it is fun in the snow.

What a video !! Unfortunately we don’t get that much snow here in Alabama, we get some and last time we went to Cheaha and we did doughnuts at the entrance of a trail but can’t drive there..... MAN what butt crunching footage.

Never underestimate the determination of a man to do stupid shit! We will do it, and probably regret it but have fun doing it.
Looks like a wicked fun time. Next time your breaking trail, try having the difs not locked. You wont bury yourself so quickly. And I agree with someone else's post about tire pressure. You were definitely aired down, but it's fun to test how different psi work. We take our KO2 down to 4 psi on powder days.

Brittany! Get yourself some decent boots at REI! I grew up on Squaw Pass(Mt.Evans/Echo Lake Area), playing in the snow was a daily occurrence there. I used to race the neighbors up and down HWY 103 in my old Subaru’s and Samurai. Well, not much of a race with the Samurai, unless there was more than 18” of snow. You and Kevin have inspired me to head back up there after the next snow. Thank you for that!

...but don't buy your sporting goods from REI. They're on the DO NOT BUY black list because they support the anti-access faux-environmentalist groups that actively fight to get our multiple-use trails closed!!! There are plenty of pro-access stores to buy from, such as Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops.

Completely jelly of the seasons you guys experience, and the close locations to wheel at! We get a bit of snow in Southern Kentucky, I’m out in it for sure! Never been waist high though! That’s crazy cool!

I certainly hope Milestar realizes how well you guys are reppin' their tires, guys! I've had 'em on my build-list since the first time I saw them on stepchild, tbh, and I haven't seen anything that makes me want to reconsider! Lift will be first, but I'm seriously considering some 33" Patas just to tide me over until I get the rest done!

I was looking for less expensive tires and came across your videos, anyway I bout some patigonia's for my tacoma, went to the mountains today for are yearly Christmas tree trip and was really happy with how these tires handled aired down to only 20 psi in about 14 inches of fresh snow some mud and rocky terrain!

Get some snow chains, you can get anywhere...... ice won't be a factor so long as you get some decent chains... good to have in the snow/ mountains...

So much fun! Watching you guys slide down the hill yeah fun. I was following my buddies in there side by sides and four wheelers when we came to a trail that said side by sides and four wheelers only, NO JEEPs!! I said can't be that bad my JKU will handle it. Yeah it was winter melt/run off as we descended, I saw them slipping but nothing bad. I found out why it said no jeeps. I hit that muddy runoff on on solid rock slide down the hill, luckily I was stopped by a tree. FUN no real damage to my JKU other then the license plate bracket and a dozen plastic clips and 6 plastic rivits on the flare. Although the way back I chickened out and followed the Jeep trail back :)

Love your jeep videos !!! Here in Canada we get our far share of snow. I have a Jeep and my better half had a Tacoma, so we have our who has the best snow vehicle. Have fun this winter!!!
i know they're out messing around and were in train-track-ruts most of the time but for anyone that's new to snow, steering only works if the tires are spinning. locked front wheels react the same if going straight or turned, as far as the ice is concerned it's just a flat pad either way. the tires must spin to guide the front of the car around. i've had 2 cars where the ABS was actually good on stuff like this and kept working but mostly it will think you're coming to a stop and lock them all. the only way to regain control is let off a bit until they're spinning again. 19:50 is a good example of this, just enough let off to have some rotation and stay in control.

We just had a blizzard in IL and the Milestars did well in the snow and ice. Not as well as a Duratrac but better than any other MT would do by far.

I had 2 Jeeps over the last 10 years as daily drivers and probably had cracked windshields for 9.5 of them lol. Only recently, I gave up the Jeep for the towing capacity I needed and forgot about the windshield thing until you showed yours. Funny but, it brought back good memories lol.
Love it! I wish we had winters like this in NZ. Everything shuts down here at the slightest of snow or ice. In saying that, we dont get enough to justify the propper road clearing equipment. I want a combo of your winters and the freedom of NZ year round hunting. I reccomend your channel to everyone I know, awesome vids!

Finally your wheeling in my neck of the woods. I've wheeled those trails many times but never knew coney flats was open to wheeling once the snow is there. I always go more north.. more snow. That looks like fun for sure. Look at county road 80c near Red Feather or even Seven Mile.. challenge hill will kick your butt. Love the video
