Do you have any pieces like this in your home?

I built this exact piece when I watched this originally on DIY. I used white oak from my property in California. Someday I will make up to attend one of your classes. Truly inspirational. Thank you for doing this whole series. Even if my skills can’t keep up, it’s still great to watch.

I built something similar based on this episode. I have all of them on VHS. For a moment, I considered reaching out to David for an apprenticeship possibility. David’s the best woodworker I’ve ever seen, not only in his physical skills, but appreciation of the wood, and history of those before him. Best ever! In fact, I took his crosscut sled design for mine. Still using it today.

@@DavidJMarks I’m impressed and humbled that you responded. Thank you sir, and I’m glad to see activity here again. I’m sure I speak for a multitude of woodworkers out there when I say it was met with profound disappointment when we learned the show was cancelled. It’s bc of you that I learned skills I’ve carried with me to this day, have tools (scraper for one) I hadn’t had before, and developed a desire to learn species on a deeper level beyond “it’s wood”. Thank you for giving me and so many others aspiring craftsman knowledge and wisdom taught to you. I wanted to share this, and could go on, bc I never thought I’d have the opportunity to truly thank you for giving to people you don’t know, and without us telling you, you wouldn’t otherwise know how much you’ve impacted so many of us.

I never noticed the plane handle on your tenon jig. Nice touch!!! The ottoman is a classic piece.
