Nobody uses the term Fennoscandia apart from some weather men perhaps. Firstly we are Finns, secondly Nordic and thirdly European. Scandinavia comes from the peninsula where the Scandes (mountains) are. Since it refers to only Sweden and Norway plus Denmark, the term Nordic countries / Nordics is the best way to describe the entire area in Northern Europe.
Being from Finland, I can say that the facts were pretty much correct but the video didn't talk at all about some of the more important Finnish culture stuff such as the sauna and black liquorice

heres a fun fact..our civil war red and white guards.. there were only few fins on that guard..it was german army that liberated us.. so more germens than fins on white guard..
One thing about finnish civil war that is often misunderstood even in Finland is that the "red guard" were not communist. There ofcourse were communist in the leadership and in the members, but fast majority of them were social democrats or just fed up poor farmers that could never own land of their own felt mistreated. There is alot more to the war than that, but video painted a pretty misleading picture of the event. Also saying the white guard were on the side of the people is...debatable.

Well, the Scandinavia thing - if it's defined geographically, it includes Sweden, Norway and North-West Finland (so that excludes Denmark). If it's defined based on the language, then it includes Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Faroese and Icelandic. So the concept of Scandinavia comprising of Sweden, Norway and Denmark is pretty artificial - especially when you consider that Swedish is an official language in Finland, but on the other hand, there are native Sami speakers in Sweden and Norway. So if you define Scandinavia as a country where the majority of people speak a Scandinavian language and it's a monarchy, then you get Sweden, Denmark and Norway. There aren't many other ways to group the countries like that. That kind of definition is mostly used by the people from Denmark, Sweden and Norway when they think they're too hip for the Finns and the Icelanders :D
In the Finnish music series you should react to Ursus Factory. They are probably the best and coolest live band in Finland atm. If it's defined based on the language, then it includes Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Faroese and Icelandic. So the concept of Scandinavia comprising of Sweden, Norway and Denmark is pretty artificial - especially when you consider that Swedish is an official language in Finland, but on the other hand, there are native Sami speakers in Sweden and Norway. So if you define Scandinavia as a country where the majority of people speak a Scandinavian language and it's a monarchy, then you get Sweden, Denmark and Norway. There aren't many other ways to group the countries like that. That kind of definition is mostly used by the people from Denmark, Sweden and Norway when they think they're too hip for the Finns and the Icelanders :D
Also Finland is a Nordic country and a member of Nordic council. Nordic countries are Norway🇸🇯 Finland 🇫🇮 Sweden 🇸🇪 Denmark 🇩🇰 and Iceland 🇮🇸.

In the Finnish music series you should react to Ursus Factory. They are probably the best and coolest live band in Finland atm. Songs like "Eksistentiaalinen biisi", "Don't Stop Believin'", "Kaikki on niin vitun ihan jees", "Sydän on suuri", "Baby mä oon rock'n'roll" or "Tähdistöön" are all great! 😍

Not true. Swedish is not required anywhere outside specific government jobs. And even there it is not needed, only reguired.

Actually us Finn's had kind of Facebook style www.irc-galleria.net (still active website but not as active since most people use Facebook nowdays) website since December 2000. 4 years before Facebook. Irc-galleria is meant to give face to IRC (Internet relay chat) users.
The Loch Ness creature or Nessie amongst friends is definitely hiding in one of the lakes in Finland. I don't think anyone knows exactly which one. Probably just moves around to avoid exposure. Clever Nessie.

Yes most was true but here in finland (suomi) it is also called the land of a thousand forests and lakes and simo had over 200 confirmed kills during the winter war also our spread out nation helps with going to the summer cabin, and so you may not see anyone and allowing you to fully relax in the middle of no where haha
