Going on 14 years a Cybernaut and I've never once wanted to look back. It's both horrifying and magical all at once, exploring the endless digital landscapes of other peoples minds.
It’s an expression of humanity, and more so the expression of consciousness itself both within and without. Condensed and digitized. Utilized. Capitalized. Liberating.
This is one of the few channels that feels like they are really trying to do something, even if the algorithm fights them in doing so. I love this content, keep it up
I cannot remember the last time I laughed at an ad. That skillshare ad was hysterical. And as other have said, the aestetics you've crafted here are truly masterful. Please continue to do this, for as long as it's enjoyable.
I just... absolutely love the way you describe things. You dont say, "it's like ____," you say, "it IS ____" I think that makes what you say all the more powerful. Yes, you explain what it is after you make the statement, but it's just the way you phrase things that really immerse me into your videos.
Agreed, you can really tell that time was taken when writing the scripts for their videos. It's not as "off-the-cuff" as other channels' narrations, but still manages to feel casual because of his tone and his little tongue-in-cheek-y lines. The metaphors are great, but his diction with the metaphors amplifies their strength. This channel is truly **chefs kiss**
the animated sequence at the end is amazing and it looks like it took a lot of work, my hat goes off to the skilled animator(s) who spent so much time on that part!
I want to thankyou for this. I have wanted to make animations about this very subject. For me oftentimes the imagery of the screen itself reaching out and sapping the life force of the person is the image that comes to mind. You hit on so much of the journey on the internet. Especially things like seeing the same subject matter covered by a bunch of channels because there is a limit to ideas and the reproliferate. Also the fact that people will go down rabbit hole after you etc, I have witnessed this first hand many a times and have essentially been the person to skip them ahead a bit. I want to thankyou though for making me come face to face with something I already knew. The fact that I've allowed games, TH-cam, etc to have their sirens call work on me. I didn't realize it till finally breaking out of my stagnation and getting back into combat sports. Once I started working out more regularly I started realizing just how much time I was spending on game etc. Now I'm still learning to properly use my time right, but I feel like I'm moving in the right direction. Next is replacing more of that leisure time with time working on my comic that I've been putting off illustrating for years. That's kind of the scary thing about being swayed by the sirens call. Eventually you get to the point that actually doing something becomes hard. Your willpower gets broken down to the point that you go "oh I'll just play one more game and then I'll do this", "I'll watch a quick video before I do this", "oh it's time for bed better masturbate". We become so addicted to the dopamine that we become shells of ourselves, just going through the motions. I'm trying to recover from that. While also trying to recover with having relapsed on weed smoking. I thankyou again because this has also made me really see how not just weed, but nearly everything I do, I will do it to excess until I don't even like it anymore.

Hey Disrupt, I wanted to ask you something. I understand your videos normally consist of the repercussions of the newly created virtual world, but I had just stumbled upon something interesting. It’s called Methylene Blue. It is supposedly the first ever used synthetic drug. But the interesting part is the history of it, which is still being created today. It was originally used to treat malaria, but now is used for everything from cyanide poisoning to CSF rhinorrhea (brain fluid leakage), or simply as a blue dye. Anyways, you probably won’t read this, but if you do it’s definitely worth checking out! Side note: no one has ever posted a video to TH-cam about the complete history of Methylene Blue, I think it would make some great content!

It still baffles me how people aren't even remotely impressed that we have the sum of human history, knowledge, and media are right at our fingertips.
