Well, took me longer than I anticipated but I've now watched the Evil Dead Trilogy and I'm happy I did.
Very interesting evolution, even though the story is the barest of bones and each film is a sequel/standalone (it gets confusing sometimes watching them back to back), it's clearly Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell having insane amounts of fun with a bigger budget each time.
Plus it's nice seeing all the elements and nods that Sam puts in his later films that call back to evil dead. Even moments in DS: MoM make sense in retrospect (doesn't make the film better but it's cute)
Overall a good watch, now I can understand any reference media makes to evil dead without being confused as I now understand the context.

47:16 in the italian dub the skeleton doesn't have that line delivery, but at least IMO they made up for it by having this dub-exclusive pun:
"Retreat! Retreat! We're gonna lose our sacrums in this!"

Can i just say i really appreciate the non-animated avatars here for this movie EFAP? I dont dislike the animated avatars, I think for a lot of EFAP discussions, the animated ones are super cool and help identify who is talking--but for movie and show reactions, I find the frequently moving animated avatars to be distracting from the show and reaction as a viewer.
Just wanted to say my appreciation if Mauler has been listening to the feedback! Love these reacts so much

I remember the first time I saw Army of Darkness. It was on Halloween and I was looking on TV for a Scary movie to watch and in the guide, it had Army of Darkness on the AMC Channel. Surely that is a scary movie with a name like that. I was surprised by how funny and enjoyable it was I forgot that I was looking for something scary. I had to show it to my dad and brother as soon as I could. Twas an instant classic with us and to this day over 20 years later we still reference the movie. Being from Michigan like Bruce Campbell and the Raimi brothers the Boomstick manufactured in Grand Rapids made us cheer a little haha. So, when I had heard years ago that they were going to EFAP this movie it was a hard wait because I figured they would love this one. I am glad they enjoyed it just as much as we do. If you haven't seen Ash Vs Evil Dead the series, you will likely enjoy that too as it keeps a lot of the horror comedy just like this movie.
