Here we have speed runs with 2s and 3s zippy lipos. I do check the motor and ESC temperature after running the vehicle. Not all RC's are meant to break the sound barrier when out bashing. With this specific RC, I do not think speeds that exceed 45 mph would be any fun unless used for straight-a-ways. It was hard to handle on 3s, and the evening before I shot this video, I did run into 2 curbs. Whether it is 25 mph or 35 mph I did enjoy running this Redcat Blackout XTE Brushed version. It is unlikely that I will upgrade to a brushless system, I would rather use that money to for another RC!!!!! I am satisfied with this 1/10 Monster Truck.

The Blackout weakness is the chassis, dog bones bend easily, servo saver is weak and non adjustable, tires dont grip well at high speeds in the dirt. One main issue is the diff planettary gear top is plastic, bends under force and bashing. Redcat parts are expensive compared to brand and larger scale RCs.
Other issues, not true 1/10th scale so no body from other RC fit well, tires from other brands look goofy. Redcat made this model that no HSP or Himoto parts are compatible, yep, you can only get parts Redcat brand and no other. With many of the other trucks you can. To make it worst if you own other models, the dog bones and cvds dont fit, and they are around 20 a pair for two silly pieces of metal. More expensive than a Rovan 1/5th scale dog bone purchased on Amazon, unreal.

Does it fit the battery compartment well with the 2s and do you have to make any other modifications to the actual motor/ esc to make it faster
How fast on stock battery?
I think it's the same as 2s, around 30 to 32 mph.
And how much amperage? It is advisable? Does not damage the engine?
3s is not recommended. The speed difference between 2s and the 7.2 nimh isnt that big of a difference. Running the stock battery is just as fun.

SongLi Moey I think this one came from Harbor freight. You can get a nice one for about $30.00 from Lowe's or Home depot.

Cem Cinkilic I'm running a Castle set up and it runs strong...I just think it's too much for the my differentials. The bevel gears keep stripping.
