What I like about Bridgit is that she isn't here for the sales. She's here to bring something new to the table - not the same tired songs we've been hearing on the radio.

It's probably because she didn't conform to all the Hollywood hierarchy and chose to do her own thing instead. It is a sad fact that without all the major labels and rich CEO's, independent, non-illuminati artists don't reach the super-mega-stardom all the mainstream artists do. You can tell with Bridgit, when she was still with Disney, singing all the songs they wrote for her, she was super famous. Now, her true style and genre are coming out because she is independent, in the sense that she writes all her songs and has 100% control over her music.
In my opinion, I would rather her be free and independent of the Hollywood cesspool and not be super popular, than bound to the chains and not have any control over her music.
