As a drummer myself, I can't but just appreciate the little bit of flavourful the drummer puts in with the ghost notes and the doubles on the hi hat. It gives it the funky aesthetic and groove that just makes Paramore's recent sound.

After that they released a couple albums and the self titled with Taylor included and went on a hiatus. Zac reconciled with Hayley for After Laughter in which they elaborate on this and Hayley's divorce, plus some really interesting tangents. I don't think Taylor had any input other than killer production and guitar riffs.

i've been a hardcore paramore fan since i was a kid. i've grown up with this band and i appreciate that they are growing with me. yeah i miss their unique old sound but there is only so many times that you can remake the same song to make it still sound new. i'm not head over heels for their new sound but i like it and it will take some getting used to. i'm always going to support this band and will always be excited for what they put out for the true fans

Of course you did otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about it. People get bored it's part of being human. Doing the same thing over and over is boring. As people we have the urge to explore and do new things, otherwise we become restless. Plus you honestly think they care if a few fans leave just because they have new sound? No they don't because they gain more fans with the new sound and the true fans stick with them.
I listened to this sound the day it came out as I was hospitalized with neumonia, I'm listening to it now that I've been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. This just hits where it needs to.
I absolutely love when artists respect each other's work, or better yet, are fans of each other. Covering each other's songs and doing it well just scratches an itch that I never realized I had until hearing them. The same goes for quality mashups.
I like how Paramore isn't one of those bands that have the one singing in the whole vid leaving the people playing the instruments out of it. Instead they all feel the experience

I think my main problem with the self-titled album wasn't that they changed musicals styles is that they went for a concept album and it was only mediocre at best. I didn't really care that the style had changed more so the fact that it just wasn't that great of an album.

Paramore is one of my favorite bands, but I really didn’t like this album when it came out. But over the years, it’s grown on me so much, and now I love it. This is one of my favorite Paramore songs, and an awesome opening track. I still prefer their punk sound, but After Laughter is still such a great listen that I play in the car with friends constantly. And I’m glad they’re not afraid to experiment and try new things. That’s part of what makes them so cool.
The last time I listened to this song, I was drunk, suicidal and having a breakdown. 7 years later this song pops on the radio and i almost cry because im still here and doing so much better

Man I hated After Laughter but the further into depression I get the more I love it. She makes depression so relatable, but manages to make you want to feel better again even when you feel like there’s so hope in sight. This is one of those songs and honestly the whole album is like this.

As you can see from the comments here a lot are bitching and moaning about touching other genres and what genre Paramore is "currently", but if they could only see their reflection they'd realize it is predominantly 'the people' who place these restrictions on bands - the band's don't give a shit. It's a great song, does it really matter whether it ventures away from where they started? no. If those who only liked them for their original genre don't like this song, then they can be big grown-ups and move on from the band or not listen. I grew up loving this band. Many has changed but that's what made them truly exceptional and stronger. From punk rock to alternative funky-techno-new wave rock, Paramore doesn't disappoint! I'm excited for their new album! And, welcome back to my favorite drummer, Zac Farro! :D
You can enjoy this during hard times or even after hard times. Hayley’s voice is just amazing. Paramores music has always had a way of touching me or making me feel something. I can’t say the same for most artists but Paramore is definitely a gem

I first heard that song 2018 maybe, I was struggling, I am stuck in a shitty job where I work hard and a toxic environment /bad management. I decided to enroll back to college and get a degree that would help me find a better job. I remember leaving the classes to go to an 8 hour long shift, and that song was my solace it made me smile and feel strong. Now I graduated 2021, looking for a better job.

In my case I won't tolerate a negative attitude, if u really care or love a person u won't tolerate a negative attitude. you inform the person that this certain attitude of his/her is bad and harmful, gyide him/her and give tips on how to change it.
Hayley said it best on the last album (which by the way was excellent.) "Some of us have to grow up sometimes." Paramore since the beginning has made good music. The sad part of this all is that, music fans always expect their favorite artists to be the same as when they came out, or a certain album.

I think my main problem with the self-titled album wasn't that they changed musicals styles is that they went for a concept album and it was only mediocre at best. I didn't really care that the style had changed more so the fact that it just wasn't that great of an album.

Paramore is one of my favorite bands, but I really didn’t like this album when it came out. But over the years, it’s grown on me so much, and now I love it. This is one of my favorite Paramore songs, and an awesome opening track. I still prefer their punk sound, but After Laughter is still such a great listen that I play in the car with friends constantly. And I’m glad they’re not afraid to experiment and try new things. That’s part of what makes them so cool.

Man I hated After Laughter but the further into depression I get the more I love it. She makes depression so relatable, but manages to make you want to feel better again even when you feel like there’s so hope in sight. This is one of those songs and honestly the whole album is like this.
