When you're writing music not just for the lyrical message, but also for the musicality of the song, you're doing it right. Your effort as a Christian on all sides of what you do are all a part of your testimony. If you're a musician, you show devotion to God in the lyrics you write, but also as you run the scales and write the riffs and assemble a good-sounding song. This is because you're created as an individual, meant to display the image of God in a unique way. For me, it's running the drum rudiments and practing the song and putting all of my available capacity for creativity into the fills and patterns. It's going through the vocal exercises and using my skills to create the right feel for what I want to communicate. Why would I write cheap music to glorify a magnificent God? Is that not a degree of mockery? Is that not shameful? If God's truths are tough to understand and grasp, then why should I make everything easy and pallatable? Good work, gentlemen.

I’ve never even heard of Christian death metal, had no idea it existed until a friend of mine introduced me to her favorite band. And now here I am, listening to Christian death metal. This has been a fun experience
Hell? Please tell me what's hell look like, what's heaven look like? You seen so familiar with these places, you seem so sure that the existence of both of those places is true with no evidence just a book a book that is contradictory to itself but yet you've been manipulated with fear into believing religion.. you've been manipulated in the sense that if you even question religion you're told you're a sinner and you're going to hell.. Open you're eyes
That's what I'm saying, I mean I've been a catholic since I was little but I've always been dumbstruck about the existence of Hell and Heaven, particularly Hell. Why does Hell exists if it even does? Is it a scare tactic that god uses To get us to believe so we don't go to Hell? And if it is a scare tactic and all Christians believe out of fear of going to Hell then isn't their faith based in fear and manipulation and this non/existent? It seems as if God uses Hell as a sort if loophole to get past violating our free will. Instead, he uses it To manipulate us into believing so he doesn't Violate the free will clause. I don't know, those are my thoughts, I still want to believe but it's getting Harder and harder to...
Brendon stacey One place is a prison of eternal suffering and the other is a paradise which you can live freely with Jesus in the Kingdom of God. I didn't come here to bash, judge, or make fun of. Just know there is someone who suffered because he loves you more than anything and doesn't want you to suffer like he did or worse. If you'd like, I will pray for you. I was saved a long time ago and wanted to worship Jesus but then Satan worked on me and made me rebellious and I was doing things to fill a void in my soul like drinking, drugs, etc. and about few days ago, I felt ashamed of doing those things because I knew not only it was killing my body but also my soul and I thought to myself, I want to feel new again and feel cleansed of my sin but I still struggle and that is where praying comes in, to ask Jesus to save us from that life of sin. If anybody on here is struggling or feels hurt and empty, I will pray for you. The road of faith is a long struggle but it will be worth it in the end and if I messed up writing this or didn't make sense it will only be because I know to get better.
1. I never said your religion is fake. I said I don't believe in your God and if you do so, it's your choice. Don't put words I never said in my mouth, thank you; 2. Atheists do not believe in either hell or heaven, since only religions have them. I used to be "one of you", as you disrespectfully identified me: I made my choices, so please respect them. I live with my beliefs, you live with yours: everyone is happy as it is, I don't mind if you're religious or not.
It was a banger back then and it measures up still. One of the best deathcore songs ever written, one of the best deathcore bands to do it. Love how Impending Doom have never stayed from making nasty ass holy bangers.
Michael Fotorny I used to love "christian" metal. I met the guys from the "christian" metal band "Impending Doom" on a 2 different occasions. I believed in the same Jesus they did and they seemed just as sincere as I was. . the question you have to ask is "are you going to be able to stand in front of the all mighty Holy God and sing this to him?" Impending Doom - Murderer (Official Video) The Mormon's, Jehovah's witness and catholics sincerely believe they are giving their worship to God but in reality they are praising Lucifer because he has blinded their eyes from the truth. You must worship God in spirit and in truth. It begins with a genuine fear of God that leads to the knowledge of what Jesus Christ had to suffer to pay the price for our sins. You are not fooling God by saying this is worship to Him. "No man can serve two masters." Matthew 6:24 Saying that the only way you can reach the lost is to conform to the world is a lie. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17 Jesus went and reached out to the sinners to bring them to repentance not to condone their wickedness. "Have no part with the unfruitful works of darkness; BUT RATHER REPROVE THEM." Ephesians 5:11 Many hypocritical christians will judge without taking the plank out of their own eye. Renounce your sins and follow Christ and the Holy Spirit will convict you when you do anything displeasing to God. Most don't want that conviction so they get lead down the broad path to destruction. "There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12 Show less
Michael Fotorny I don't know if you read where I wrote how much I loved "christian metal" I loved all metal and must have been to over 70 shows. I got high off the music..it edified my flesh. I also played drums for over 17 years and all I really played was metal. During those years If you asked me I would tell you I was a christian. I followed a christ that allowed me to do what I thought was right. It doesn't really matter what Paster's Bob DAILY's opinion is. It doesn't matter what any of our opinions are. It matters what is Holy before God. Remember how God destroyed the sons of Aaron with fire for offering Him a unholy offering? (strange fire) Their carelessness and irreverence were their downfall. You think that just because you label something christian with christian lyrics it's acceptable before God? It doesn't matter our intention. Jeremiah 17:9 tells us "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" So many professing christians are on the broad road because they don't have a fear of God and aren't reading His Word. If you had the Holy Spirit dwelling in you this so called music would be poison to your ears. You begin to hate all that God hates and love what He loves. He doesn't say we have to worship Him with hymns but I promise that you would not be able to stand before him screaming at Him. The screaming in metal music literally sounds like demons...I know because I've heard them and have been pinned down by one...the most horrifying experience. In Luke 11:2-4 Jesus taught us how to pray. Would you pray in the tone that we hear coming out of Brook when he's screaming? If you say yes then you are worshipping another god...lucifer. Doesn't matter your intentions. I pray the Holy Spirit brings conviction to those who are willing to HUMBLE themselves with a real fear and trembling before God. Yes God is love but He also terrifying and He warns us throughout His word of His wrath. If I didn't fear God and just thought since Jesus died for me I could worship God how I pleased I would be in real trouble...the kind that lasts forever. One of my favorite bands was the "christian" metalcore band "As I lay Dying." Just listen to what their frontman Tim had to say after being convicted of murder. He admitted it was all a front and that he had become an atheist. He told us that maybe 1 in 10 of the "christian" metal bands they toured with were actually christians. There's $ to be made. This world has gotten so wicked and there's become such little difference between good and evil. Truth has become relative and is all based on personal opinions instead of testing against the Word of God. Carnal christians would now call this legalism or having a religious spirit. Actually its called obeying God and not taking His grace and mercy for granted. You will know when He has truly forgiven you and there's such a weight off the shoulders I can promise you will never want to hear screaming again. There's so much peace and love in His presence. We're in the last days and we are commanded to test the spirits for Satan is transformed into an angel of light. Time is running out...most churches are uniting with the pope who is calling muslims his brothers and says we all worship the same God. Prophecy is being fulfilled. I love all you guys! Please get right before God!! "Choose this day who you will serve" Joshua 24:15
Christian [life]core is awesome!!!! I don't wanna hear some commercialized kid scream profanities and satanism into my ear anymore. God is more powerful than anyone or anything and deserves a powerful music genre among all the ungodly music genres. Gods wrath is more brutal than anything, baal can even think of. And the anger I feel when thinking about the evil fucks in this world needs a vent. Also I like awesome guitar riffs, basslines, drumming, fried vocals, synthesizer effects, breakdowns etc. Praise Elohim! Praise Yehoshua and praise Ruach!

the band is telling/preaching the event that will come in the last day, and it is written in the bible so nothing to argue about what or who they are worshiping, its JESUS.. and God is looking to our hearts, not in what we do or, for example to the sound of the music,. God always has a reason why he put this guys in to this ministry.

This is exactly the intense energy I was looking for in a song/band! Love when it’s fast as hell and the screaming is good and heavy hitting.

The chorus is nothing short of catchy and sweet guitar riffs!
I’ve never even heard of Christian death metal, had no idea it existed until a friend of mine introduced me to her favorite band. And now here I am, listening to Christian death metal. This has been a fun experience
i imagine how jesus headbangs to this song... AWESOME!!
"and on the 8th day, god headbanged to Impending Doom's new music album, and thus lightning was given the sound of thunder."
yeah!!!
Haha sweet!

Is it a scare tactic that god uses
To get us to believe so we don't go to Hell?
Believe want you want bro I'm cool with that I'm just trying to make you look a religion in a different way I want you to face the same questions I do
1. I never said your religion is fake. I said I don't believe in your God and if you do so, it's your choice. Don't put words I never said in my mouth, thank you;
2. Atheists do not believe in either hell or heaven, since only religions have them.
I used to be "one of you", as you disrespectfully identified me: I made my choices, so please respect them.
I live with my beliefs, you live with yours: everyone is happy as it is, I don't mind if you're religious or not.
2019 and still a banger
This is perfect. Its exactly what the screaming in my head souded like before I put *deathcore doom* in the search.
Love it.

Is this a christian band?
"There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12

Michael Fotorny He has a point.. would you really sing this in front of god?
Proverbs1:7Truth I have always felt there was some wall between me and Jesus.. I think you might have just show me that wall man.. thank you.
Proverbs1:7Truth This music in no way glorifies christ.

Damn it dude. This makes me so happy. For years now every time I find a new band I like I later discover that they are a christian band. I'm not even seeking it out it just happens.
the band is telling/preaching the event that will come in the last day, and it is written in the bible so nothing to argue about what or who they are worshiping, its JESUS.. and God is looking to our hearts, not in what we do or, for example to the sound of the music,. God always has a reason why he put this guys in to this ministry.
