The edits just keep getting better, that intro was fantastic. And speaking of edits shout out to the Editor for liking Dinomorphias so much, they are a super fun deck that (for me at least) just dies to ash too often.
Baiting out that Ash is absolutely the most important thing a Dinomorphia player has to do. Maxx C is practically a double-edged sword: amazing Ash bait but also the reason Ash is so prevalent.
@@MrNova_404 I know and I try but it seems like most of my duels I open up with no way to bait it out. I play 2 of the original fusion and 3 of the new one but mostly the deck list from the What a Deck. I also don't run Maxx c in the deck.
@tommysuter4053 I use fossil dig to reach for Therizia or Misc if I already have her if it doesn't get Ash'd. I'd highly recommend Maxx C, it's broken and the opponent has to stop it if they can and as a rogue deck you need every advantage you can get. It's a win-win either way: you plus off their plays or Ash gets used and your plays can go off freely.
@@MrNova_404 I also play 3 fossil digs and a Misc. And ya I know and I already have 3 Maxx Cs and I should put it in the deck I just don't like the card. I have been thinking of making a Dinomorphia/Labyrinth because Lady would prevents my traps from being responded to by monster effects.
Congratulations to Hardleg and the editor, I enjoyed very much seeing this month's ladder climb. I didn't care at all about Gold Pride before this but it turned out to be an interest archetype with unique intricacies. Maybe that's not enough to beat OP archetypes like snake eyes but it was fun to watch that. Nice video!
I'm not gonna say Maxx C is terrible for the game, but it does help the rich decks get richer haha. If a deck doesn't have room for Maxx C + handtraps, they need to either be a go-second or scoop deck or a go-first deck that doesn't run Maxx C but can OTK going second through a decent board + Maxx C. It helps though if a deck can play through resolving Droll on their own turn to stop Maxx C, or has room in the extra for Super Poly with targeted hits vs meta boards.
really liked the editing in this one, especially the intro and the verte bit, also my 2nd favorite animal is a bunny. I also liked how each time snake eyes came up, the text at the start of the duel changed in some unique way, my favorite one being the 'hissing orbs of sight' which took me a sec to realize what it was referring too till i got it and it gave me a chuckle.
I don't use twitch at all so seeing the community posts about this deck made me real excited to see the full video and seeing duel 40 made the wait so worth it.
note to the editor, we patrons have been trying to get dinomorphia chosen for months, it keeps being like the 3rd rank choice, so not for a lack of trying, lol
This has to be the episode with the best editing so far, everything was so on theme. The intro was also one of your best. Gold Pride is an extremely cool deck, but unfortunately the Snake-Eyes are just too powerful :(
Hardleg. Down the line you can use your punks to get the Amin, search a level 8, use the field spell and make a big level 11 like amazing dragon or pep. This is why you also want to play double pep. If you want to play less bricks and still get into gold pride from a punk starter you just don't play madame spider and a trap because it removes two soft bricks and you can just search the Amin via dragon drive and special it via the field spell leaving one he Amin in your deck that still makes your starters live. This is why specifically if you're not playing in a droll format ogre dance is very much worth it giving you 11 punk starters. If you're playing into Maxx C you want to make pep and put them on "better have it" as many people just don't have an out to it or need to overextend into it to make goddess and lose the ability to make a competent board for your turn 3. Trish is extremely win more. Thanks for reading if you did, love your videos.
Ogre dance makes e-tele and foxy tune a lot more viable. If you special summoned your ze Amin you can use it to search sharakusai. you generally don't want to go under the 11 starters, which gives you a ~ 80% chance to open the punk combo.
The editor did a great job making this video a masterpiece. Even though Gold Pride never really stood out to me, both they and Joe's commentary made it a fun watch. A shame that the end result could not have been higher, but can't win em all. Also, my second favorite animal is the komodo dragon
This deck is pretty fun, I built a version without punks for the event right after it was released and it felt like it was the best deck for the event. Unfortunately, in the ladder, Maxx "C" invalidates it like many other fair decks that need to special summon more than a few times and don't have a plan B, and Snake Eyes is still way too good.
Just when I think I can’t enjoy Mr Legs’ content any more- he jumpscares me with a WoT reference and reveals he’s got more surprises than a Sharan channeler
Vid is kinda old but punk gold pride has been best in my experience at 60 cards with the lvl 3 dangers and terrortop. You get around 20-22 non engine slots depending on ratios and very consistently open with either the full combo or just the gold pride line. The bigger deck helps you not see the soft garnets as often but there are enough 1-1.5 card starters that you dont sacrifice consistency
the comment at 33:45 where you talk about the best rogue tool in the best deck is why i liked Duel link's ban list so much, Put maxx C at 3 and the best deck's required monster at 3, now they can use one or the other or a less than max mix of the 2, but it will allow the rogue deck a full 3 maxx C unhindered, it's really really good. Honestly wish they'd just do that for master duel.
Hardleg, I don't think the issue with this deck had to do with you "messing up". I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I've reviewed the footage, and there's absolutely like 6 losses in there that are my fault lol, I just didn't include those in the episode. And while none of them happened on rank-up duels, they still might have swung things enough in my favor that I could sneak into Master 5.
Dang, the last stream and a half was a real rough road. Joe floundering in Diamond despite a plethora of possible builds is incredibly frustrating to watch. Despite that, the rest of the streams were a lot more interesting. It's been awhile since I've seen this many unique tech choices out of Joe and he got a ton of use out of Ascendant of Thunder and made a really good argument for Frankenderp in the deck. The comedy protection that it has is truly on another level.
If you can get into amazing dragon it is a reborn for all punks so you can once back in your turn reborn carp and summon ze Amin to synch into pep. With carp and ze Amin being sent to the gy makes amazing dragon atk twice and increase its atk. So it does have recurrence but it’s attached to the boss monster

as someone who is still trying to figure this deck out, I appreciate Joe's suffering on this climb.
I love the editing on this video. Nova, you ought to give yourself a great big pat on the back.
*pat pat*
@@MrNova_404 for some reason on my end there's a little thing I can click to translate "pat pat" to "bed bed" in english
Omg only seen the introduction
And wow best yugi intro to a video ever
Thanks! I made that part myself :D
I swear your intros are alone worth watching
2:49:39 Ha, literally That Came Out of Nowhere!
Gold Pride, always giving me the classic cartoon Wacky Races vibe.
4 months later and I came back to this video to spice up my PUNK deck. Went from Gold 3 to Diamond 1. 😂
Gold Pride ended up with a participation award medal.
Joe: “We keep loosing to Max C…”
*Me whenever someone Max C’s me* : “Challenge Accepted!!!”
Sorry about the format this one got played in, but this is a really good episode despite that. Editing was good, the deck is fun, and Joe was highlighted really well in the games shown.
Loved this one.
Snake eyes was and is kind of a bummer to go against. Carries the players
3:19:17 _„standing here I realise“ starts playing_
Can't wait for when the new gold pride support enters TCG and MD
At the start I was also on board with the P.U.N.K. engine... but after seeing pure I honestly think that version is better in Master Duel
I like to think hardleg just had someone drive while he filmed the background
Love the heart in these series
2:50:50 That's the one I was hyped for damn :(
The Maxx C man is based for playing Gold Pride
Yo that run out of time victory. I said what are you doing, you're not the main character bro. Lmao!
I can't tell if the way Hardleg says "Leon!" is a reference to how Ashley shouts "Leon!" in Resident Evil 4 or not
Yes
