That’s why you can’t listen to people who don’t think for themselves. The type that couldn’t coherently argue why they disagree; they just heard one time that it’s bad, so they repeat it.
I open utune everday just to look for your videos, thank you brother for the work you put into these videos,,just plain out real fishing,no frills,no bull. Thank you n the mrss
Yo Brant! Happy New Year! I've watched all your videos! You are the most informative dudes on TH-cam. Fun to watch, especially when you're outcatching everyone on the beach and piers, and they don't watch you, and do the same, you know, not all the fisherman, but most. Love your channel, and would love to meet you and BB, at your tackle shop...❤
Best wishes in 2025 for you and Mel! You put a lot of work into your craft and it shows. I really appreciate your authenticity. Keep up the great work!
We love our pellet grill, camp chef brand tho but has a pellet dump under the burner. We haven't cooked fish yet, but a little bit of everything else from ham, mac n cheese, turkey, dressing, to pie.
I love my pitboss austin xl. Make sure everytime u fire it up, you keep the door open until you hear the flame roaring. You can get a flame up and it will blow the door open or blow it off. Its scarey as heck! I cook everything on mine! Congrats on the new grill!
Brant, the pit boss grills are outstanding! I’m on my second pit boss 1100 pro series and I WILL NOT EVER be without one. Check out the ones at Lowe’s as opposed to other stores. Pit boss does special grills for different stores. That mackerel smoked will make the best fish dip ever. You’ll NEVER use liquid smoke again. Once you see what these grills can do (TH-cam is your friend) you’ll be “On the hook” too. Love my smoker and your channel. Tight lines!
The winter grind is real! I'm not from the area but was fishing down there years ago and accidentally snagged a few mullet with a casting spoon and kept them for redfish bait. Then I founded out that people ate the big ones, and I grabbed a basic snatch rig and that was one of my target fish in the winter if other stuff was slow. I always thought they were just a bait fish but after I tried them I realized they're actually really good and now I almost feel like it's a waste to chunk the big ones in to bait.
Have had a PitBoss pellet grill for 4 years. Absolutely love it. Smoked fish can't be beat. I mix Charcoal pellets and Hickory pellets and the taste is Awesome.
I fished my 1st bass tournament when I was 7 with my pops in a father son club tourny back in the mid 70s and been grinding ever since. Keep on keepn on. Cus once you stop you never know what you just missed. I've seen a few of your videos and you seem like a pretty good dude. So I'll check you out from time to time. And the guy who said the thing about snagging and netting is rite
My kids bought me one a few years ago. Love it use it all the time. I have smoked pork butts brisket prime rib. Salmon vegetables. It grills well too. I grill and smoke steaks and burgers on it.
So glad I found your channel. Excellent content. I love seeing Pensacola. Born there on the base and my Mom and Dad retired there. I'm a Georgia boy, but Pensacola is home. So fun to see you in the places I love so much. And being a fisherman, like you, if I see water I'm gonna fish it. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year. Peace to you and your family.
I have that grill. It doesn't drain the grease very well and cause a serious fire hazard when grilling ribeyes chicken. I mean like huge flames shooting out the back and the top You need to tilt the heat shield so that it drains better and the drain hole and area can get quickly clogged so you have to clean it after grilling something greasy.
I wanna retire on the Alabama/Florida gulf coast... I will hit you up when I'm lookin for a home on the water. I totally love your channel. thanks, my dude.
You cannot beat fresh mullet. Fried they are hard to beat especially with a pot of grits and hush puppies on the side. Was raised eating mullet and smoked mullet, my grandpa was known all over the big bend area for his smoked mullet.
Aaaaaayyyyyyy mullet this is my jam as I’ve said on your stuff before more than other flats and salt fishing. Good to find this video after I didn’t get to watch any since the summertime. They’ll bite out there if you want to catch them just to say you’ve done it. But I don’t care about snagging. I’ll take them however I can get them, and I’ll take them from the mud. There’s really no difference. There’s a whole other reason why people repeat that here is but it’s a whole other problem.
No apologies needed for snagging the fish or for catching fish period. If people don't like it they can watch a video about growing veggies. Keep on fishing.
Brant, I use my Pit Boss almost every time with fish. Usually it’s Tilapia from Costco that I will smoke for 45 minutes at 225. Then make a homemade cilantro and jalapeño slaw and make fish burritos. By the way you are the man that taught me how to fish the Pensacola area. We live right outside of Chattanooga but my wife’s aunt lives there in Pace. We visit 3 or 4 times a year and I fish the entire time. Thanks to you I’ve learned to be successful.
Brant. Some clarity regarding the freshwater “Sheephead” fish of the north. What we refer to “Sheephead” up here in the Midwest is actually a fresh water drum which are very similar to the saltwater black drum and they may even be related.
I don't know Brant it sure looks good to me I'm going to have to try some real like that too all I've ever done is fry it also thanks for the vids in keep them coming it's going to be a long cold winter here it's snowing outside right now
I'm from southeast Georgia. Our water around here is very muddy. But I will say that I too love fresh mullet. But you do hafta scrub or cut away the black lining in the stomach. I do enjoy your videos and adjust your methods to my area. Thanks for what you do. Keep it up!!
A heads up Brandt. In last Arms Family Homestead video, Dejay and Daniel are looking at buying a BNB someplace. Guess where they vacation every year? Yep, Pensacola Beach..😂 just had to tell ya. Ya never know maybe interested .....eh..
As a displaced Floridian (I'm from Ft Walton) I look at it this way, you're either catching fish or not. Fishing is fishing and yes, Mullet are a PITA to catch, so yah, it's the only fish I snag fish.
Good video and the bull pit looks good 👍 I think you should buy me one lol glad to see you back hope to see a lot catch and clean and cook videos in 25
I've had a lot of different species of fish, some good some not so good, but I've never had mullet. Always used it for cut bait. After seeing and hearing you rave about it I'm going to give it a try when I'm next in Florida (at the end of March).
Many years ago I was stationed at Eglin AFB and there used to be a big mullet festival in Niceville. I always thought it would be like nasty carp but it was really good.
Nice vid man! Agree 100% about mullet and where it’s caught. Here in NE Florida we have mullet people catch in the St. John’s River and mullet people catch off the beach. The river mullet are 🤢 while the beach mullet are clean and yummy 😋
I grew up in St Pete and Ted Peters smoked mullet was a treat! Haters can step off. LOL Smoked mullet roe is good as well. I do wonder how you go about snagging the mullet. I recall hearing people talk about doing it, but never saw anyone do it - and I can’t tell on your videos how you’re going about it. Spill them beans please!
Man! I just love all the toys in your backyard, and I always enjoy the sunrise that you show us, Hey did Santa bring you a new reel? We snag Mullet up here in NYC? never a problem with the people who cry about it because they don`t have the skills to do it.
O MY GOSH MULLET! HA HA JUST KIDDIN,I WAS RASIED UP ON MULLET CHEZ GRITS,BUT YA LEFT OUT THEM GIZZARDS AN SMOKED MULLET IS THE BOMDIGGIE! MANY A DAY WITH CAST NET MY FRIEND AN GILL NET BACK IN DA DAY..I LIKE WHITE FRIED FRIM..HAPPY NEW YEAR..STAYSAFE..
Never had a mullet, when I was stationed in Norfolk,Va. I was looking down from the ship I was stationed on was looking at fish feed on CHT its Military term , asked my buddy what kind of fish it was he said it was a mullet, ever since then didn’t eat mullet. Was talking about you today when I went fishing downtown Pensacola, saw a guy was fishing I told him I follow a TH-camr that caught a big spec, he said he saw that video too. Thanks for your content , what did you catch that speckle trout with.
Hey brant...love watching your videos man...my family and I are coming to pensacola at the end of February early March...my boys 6.5 now and I'd like to take him out fishing how and where would be the best places to try in that area that time of year what should be target? Thank man
Hi Brad I really enjoy all of your videos. I am from Minnesota Wisconsin and live on a lake six months out of the year in the summer. I travel in the winter last winter I went to fort Pickens which I know you know where it is. I saw a man catch a huge bull red off the fort Pickens dock. Have you ever fished there? I am thinking of heading down there and wondering if you would or if you ever ever considered fishing off of that dock? Looking forward to response again really enjoy your stuff!
Hey Brant, I have a Pit Boss Lexington Onyx and I Love Smoking my Fish on it. Give the Smoke Feature a try.... I promise you will not regret it... Love your Videos! Keep up the good work!
You need a cold smoker, and do those bluefish, mix em with cream cheese, sour cream, dill, lemon zest and some of your cajun spice, make a dip out of em.
Brant the man with a plan. You are seriously my favorite fisherman
I appreciate you watching.
I second that & it takes skill to snag them, especially that close to the pier.
He also has sweet dance moves!
People will complain if you snag one mullet but won't bat an eye if you cast net 50 of them.
That’s why you can’t listen to people who don’t think for themselves. The type that couldn’t coherently argue why they disagree; they just heard one time that it’s bad, so they repeat it.
We call them 🐑 @@Rhodes350
And they’ll buy a chicken that has had the feathers ripped out of it, what idiots
Either you’re good with fishing or you’re not… like he said.
From reading the comments over the years people do appreciate your show. Keep up the good work!
These are absolutely my favorite videos. Just never know what you’ll catch. Brandt is always on em
I open utune everday just to look for your videos, thank you brother for the work you put into these videos,,just plain out real fishing,no frills,no bull. Thank you n the mrss
This is why you're the fist TH-cam channel I subbed to. Good luck this year!
Yo Brant! Happy New Year! I've watched all your videos! You are the most informative dudes on TH-cam.

Appreciate it
I’ve owned a pit boss pellet grill for about four years now and it has been stellar. It is the easy button to become a pretty good backyard pitmaster.
Best wishes in 2025 for you and Mel! You put a lot of work into your craft and it shows. I really appreciate your authenticity. Keep up the great work!
Great video brant and I see that Ricky has followed you into 2025 😂😂😂 and thank you for sharing your life with us ❤❤
We love our pellet grill, camp chef brand tho but has a pellet dump under the burner.
Those mullets are some good eating enjoy 😋

HAPPY NEW YEAR BRANT!

Brant for President sounds really good! You'd have my vote real fast!! 👏👏♥️
Love the fact that you’ll fish any day in any conditions.
You’ve inspired me to stick it out even when conditions are not ideal!!

Dude smoking his mullet, which end did he light ?
Smoked mullet is delicious!!

Watching this right before dinner here in Arizona. Wow that fish looks so tasty. Love the clean and cook portion of your videos.
Brant, I use my Pit Boss almost every time with fish. Usually it’s Tilapia from Costco that I will smoke for 45 minutes at 225. Then make a homemade cilantro and jalapeño slaw and make fish burritos. They call it Biloxi bacon where I’m from the coast of Mississippi. My grandfather used to eat it all the time. Awesome videos as always Brant.
Hey I love mullet man an snagging them better again ( do yr ting man ) love your videos can't get enough man.. .. bless.
Let's GOOOOO get these fish 😊
Brant.
Some clarity regarding the freshwater “Sheephead” fish of the north. What we refer to “Sheephead” up here in the Midwest is actually a fresh water drum which are very similar to the saltwater black drum and they may even be related.
This was an awesome video. My families moving your way in a couple years .

Mullet for the win.
Mullet, it's more than a haircut
I have a couple Traeger grills. Wood pellet also, they are amazing! Wood fired everything! Nice video Brant! Happy new year to you and Melanie!
Fish is fish. Brant for president!
A heads up Brandt. In last Arms Family Homestead video, Dejay and Daniel are looking at buying a BNB someplace. Guess where they vacation every year? Yep, Pensacola Beach..😂 just had to tell ya. Ya never know maybe interested .....eh..
Awesome video. Looking forward to the new year
As a displaced Floridian (I'm from Ft Walton) I look at it this way, you're either catching fish or not. Fishing is fishing and yes, Mullet are a PITA to catch, so yah, it's the only fish I snag fish.
I have a Pit Boss vertical smoker. I really like that smoker, but it was just a gateway to getting a Workhorse offset wood fired smoker.
You will love that pit boss. Use apple pellets on the fish. Taking mine to Karrick Lake this weekend.
Good video and the bull pit looks good 👍 I think you should buy me one lol glad to see you back hope to see a lot catch and clean and cook videos in 25
I have been cooking on a Pit Boss vertical smoker for a while now and have produced better brisket than our local smoke houses.
I grew up in Destin during the 90s and we ate tons of mullet. we also ate trigger fish back then but I don't think they had gone out of style yet lol
Hey Brant get ready for the snow flurries in the panhandle..😂 this weekend.
Brant, you have to try the white roe. Not sure about grilling, but if you fry it, it tastes just like a fried oyster.
Looking forward to more videos and appreciate you doing more.
Kosmos q has some awesome seasonings. A few are in wm but the paleo, fish, chicken, etc are on his website, plus sauces and recipes.
I've had a lot of different species of fish, some good some not so good, but I've never had mullet. Always used it for cut bait. After seeing and hearing you rave about it I'm going to give it a try when I'm next in Florida (at the end of March).

There are talks of bringing it back, but nothing firm has been decided that I know of yet.
Nice vid man! Agree 100% about mullet and where it’s caught. Here in NE Florida we have mullet people catch in the St. John’s River and mullet people catch off the beach. The river mullet are 🤢 while the beach mullet are clean and yummy 😋
Mullet is one of the best fish in the water! The roe is unbelievable good also! Love your videos !
Thank you
In my younger days I used to go to Port Canaveral snag mullet when the run was on I love the fried row and smoked mullet
Smoked silver mullet are awesome. One of my favorites.
I grew up in St Pete and Ted Peters smoked mullet was a treat! Haters can step off. LOL
Smoked mullet roe is good as well.
I do wonder how you go about snagging the mullet. I recall hearing people talk about doing it, but never saw anyone do it - and I can’t tell on your videos how you’re going about it. Spill them beans please!
Awesome video, always enjoy your content ,
I have a KC combo Pitt Boss and use it for everything. Great job!!
I been trying to get my wife to move to Florida. We live in Indiana
Happy New Year and God bless y'all
You and I have different definitions of "burn off" 😆🤣😂😜😉💚
Man! I just love all the toys in your backyard, and I always enjoy the sunrise that you show us, Hey did Santa bring you a new reel? We snag Mullet up here in NYC? never a problem with the people who cry about it because they don`t have the skills to do it.
Had mullet once fried in Sarasota, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Best wishes to you and your family for 2025 Sir.
Mullet row in North Carolina is worth 5 dollars a lbs I love any fresh fish
I do a lot of live fire smoking. So my wife bought one of those so I could take it with us to the coast. I absolutely love mine
Thanks for the great vid, that looked cold out there.
We love you❤❤❤
O MY GOSH MULLET!
I've got a larger pit boss pellet grill. Easy smoking and grilling! love it.
Try smoked kielbasa on the Pit Boss. 1 hour at 225 degrees. Use the competition blend pellets.
Brant, you dang mullet snagger! Sounds like a new hoody idea! Or just Mullet Snagger!
Never had a mullet, when I was stationed in Norfolk,Va. I was looking down from the ship I was stationed on was looking at fish feed on CHT its Military term , asked my buddy what kind of fish it was he said it was a mullet, ever since then didn’t eat mullet. Now you can smoke some mackerel too! Look forward to seeing that!
“Fish is fish-Brant for President “ 🇺🇸😆
Hey brant...love watching your videos man...my family and I are coming to pensacola at the end of February early March...my boys 6.5 now and I'd like to take him out fishing how and where would be the best places to try in that area that time of year what should be target? Thank man
The best pellets I have used are the Jack Danial's Pellets. Give them a try!!!
Challenge for the New Year: catch at least one fish every single day. All 365 days. Good luck!
Happy 2025 !!! 🧨🧨🧨
I also watched Steven Franklin from Bama saltwater do this too and they look like good fish to eat
Do they still have the mullet festival in Niceville?? Mullet is tasty!
Great fishing. I do eat mullet sometimes but not a huge fan of the taste.
Hey Brant, I have a Pit Boss Lexington Onyx and I Love Smoking my Fish on it. Give the Smoke Feature a try.... I promise you will not regret it... Love your Videos! Keep up the good work!
Florida mullet are delicious, we used to seine net them out of the bay, never had em out of the Gulf like that.
You need a cold smoker, and do those bluefish, mix em with cream cheese, sour cream, dill, lemon zest and some of your cajun spice, make a dip out of em.
I have the Traeger and smoked salmon is delicious
Brant, the Spanish Mackerel wasn't the latest one caught, it was the earliest 😊😊
Hey Brant, me and my wife is wanting to come down and fish. We do beach/pier fishing what’s the best time to make the trip and where. Thank you!
