We need more people putting TF2 and Dota 2 in the same videos, always really fun! Your Magic Shmagic is one of my favorites because it had so many different characters from different games interacting together, Elizabeth from Bioshock, Turret from Portal 2, TF2 and Dota characters... It's hard to find SFM videos like that, and i hope you'll make more in the future, good job man!
I love the fun and non serious comical nature of this video. The Reds are mostly focused on running away and nobody is really keen on seriously trying to kill eachother. There are some animations where some members of a team die and some dont and you're on edge but for this animation I was given the feeling that they'd all be safe and my bet was right. Very good animation. The style, tone and just the way it plays out is amazing.
That'd be about 10 bucks or such, compared to millions or possible even billions if they can convince people it's teleports you to an entire different dimension.
That 3:00 face tho... This is one of the best SFM submissions that I have ever seen. The camera and transitions were very well made, as well as choice of soundtrack.
Dang, this year's saxxy awards has a lot of strong competitors. Kudos to you three animators for this video! And good job to the rest of the team as well!
Wonderful! The cinematography is top notch! The animations could be a little smoother, but I'd say that about 70% of that is the inherent weirdness that SFM has with shoulders. But, overall, a incredibly fun watch. Vote earned!
I've been watching sfm's all my life. And I have to say sir if this doesn't get a award and hit mans havoc does it would be a shame. Best one I've seen this year!
welp, looks like I had a legit reason to be worried. This is amazing! Loved the concept, and there were enough twists and ideas to keep it original throughout. Well done, and good luck in the Saxxies! C:
Very well done. Had my interest from start to finish. Even that minor bit with the heavy recovering one item, made it all the better. AND, the music, was very fitting and timed near perfect. +1 vote, wish you the best.
This year is really going to be heavy on voting. Pun not intended. Seriously, so many good entries are popping these last hours. Its going to be hard picking a winner and even harder losing to one.
Who needs voice lines when you are so talented at animating body language and facial expressions that we know exactly what they're saying at all times?
Holy cow! Awesome work! I can definitely see improvement over time with your videos. It's also impressive that you can do so much without words (though I guess "jewel heist" is a simple setup everyone loves). I especially liked the shot of the Sniper being woken up; spastic and physics-based animations like that are always difficult, and always pay off. Did anyone find themselves rooting for the security guards a bit though?
0:04 SPY'S FIRST FACE REVEAL!!! (0o0) 2:54 Jeez Heavy calm the heck down! LOL 4:53 At least they got something. Nice work on this one. It has some original comidy to it.
Oh god this reminds me so much of Sly. Were the characters supposed to be so similar to the Sly characters? Because I'm seeing Sly and Murray and Bentley right here.
Amazing. Simply..... Amazing. It has the beautiful Animation *WITHOUT* the "Let's rush this part so people barely understand, but it saves us time" kinda thing. Great Job, you already won a Saxxy.
Great animation, loved it. Plus massive improvement on the issues with your earlier saxxy entry. Only one issue I found with this, the monster clips through trees when he roared, but I barely even noticed that, so yea. Great video, and I hope to see you win a saxxy someday, you definitely have the talent and skills with SFM to do so.
Here's some constructive criticism, though I doubt It'll be worth a whole lot. The first is aimed at the Animator/Animators, and the second is aimed at the Writer/Writers. Something that kind of bothered me when watching, though a small nitpick, was that when the Spy was recovering from being on the ground, while he was grabbing the barrel, the Soldier kind of awkwardly stands with his hands at his sides while holding a weapon. That was strange, since it would take less than a second to disarm/strike the Spy in his lumbering state, but he just freezes at the mercy of the plot so the Spy has a chance to do something instead of getting killed. There's a whole cut and complex sequence of the Spy lifting it over his head to smash the Soldier with it and the Soldier makes no advances or gets into frame, he just stands there. Again, not huge deal because I myself have dealt with these models in my own work and understand how translating action/movement in a compelling manner can be difficult, and I can suspend my disbelief since it is primarily a lighthearted comedy, but I just thought that I would mention it since it did take me out a bit. Second thing that was sort of weird was that the Gem being shattered bothered the Spy. Gems are like Diamonds - the shape doesn't matter so long as the chunks are large enough to turn a profit and the quality is maintained, which it was - Some of them were larger than the Spy's head and the clarity of the Gem seemed to be maintained when in chunks. Like I said earlier, I can suspend my disbelief with it shattering in the first place, and I get they were in a rush, but the Spy's reaction doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If you're stealing a Gem to sell on the black market, you clearly don't care about the well-being of the artifact so long that it can make you money - And if he's planning to keep it for a personal collection, you'd never show it to anyone other than your fellow criminal friends, so why not take it, repair it with some adhesive, and put it in a personal display? Who are you impressing by having it in perfect condition? I would make the argument that the person who hired them to steal it wanted it in its entirety, but they're clearly planning the score themselves, and it'd be smarter to have it broken down anyway; That's how stolen Gold and Silver things are sold, they break them down so they can't be tracked after the crime has been committed. It's just not very sound logic for a Jewel Thief's character, really. Other than that, this was a lot of fun to watch and has near-Valve quality animation and storytelling. I can't wait to see what you and your friends have for us in the future.
Good job on this one. It was a fun, entertaining, and interesting video. Also, these guards are idiots. Instead of calling for backup and help, they try to take on a master thief and an extremely strong dude. However, it's the soldier and the scout, what do you expect? They aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. Loved the ending!
dude you've gotten so much better since I started watching you, been watching since almost the beginning, saw lots of potential in you as an animator dude good fucking job like m8
Congratulation on your nomination. Personally I think this should have won best overall, it's a great concept and very well paced. Great job nonetheless, I look forward to your future videos.
At about 2:20 the soldier stood still for comically too long, just standing there and letting Spy wreck him with a barrel. This is stark contrast to his agile fighting style otherwise depicted. And at 3:08, how does removing a closed door's power source cause it to OPEN? The door doesn't open by sliding downward, so gravity should have maintained its hold on an unpowered door, unless it was designed to specially open via backup generator in the event of a power loss for evacuation purposes, which I guess I might be able to see happening, though it's certainly not good practice to make your high security room do that whenever there's a power failure. I do love their expressions around the 4 minute mark ("What have we just do done did?") and Spy's face at the end is just perfect.
LMAO just as the heavy shut off the power my antivirus popped up saying "There's nothing standing between you and online criminals!"
PsychoPath597 lol
Lol
perfect timing
Shh... Dont let the heavy know
Probably shouldn't have that thing installed in the first place
Minigun that has real bullet inside a museum

xIxAMxERRORx why are we not funding this?
Seems like a good idea actually!!!
We should start a team and work on this,😂
The fact that this didn't win is still infuriating to this day.

Very good animation. The style, tone and just the way it plays out is amazing.
The way the heavy run, busts into the room, slams the door and barricades it -- WOW. Amazing. Brilliant. I love it.
4:53 lol $9.999, that's gota be worth something, right?
3 Keys. Actually.
+GogoSato XD Lets hope those are keys to a bank vault or something
Especially in 1968
Yes, it’s worth $9,999
That'd be about 10 bucks or such, compared to millions or possible even billions if they can convince people it's teleports you to an entire different dimension.
That 3:00 face tho...
This is one of the best SFM submissions that I have ever seen.
The camera and transitions were very well made, as well as choice of soundtrack.
haha love the dota cameos
Very sly cooper'ish feeling
Master0Corvo Actually, Murray is the one who usually drives. But Bentley learned how to drive Murray's van in Sly 2.
Oh yea sorry it's been a long time since I've played the the sly collection.
Glad I'm not the only one getting a Sly Cooper-kinda vibe! =)
Lol that was first thing I thought of when finished the video, it's mainly the music I have to say!!!
Master0Corvo Way to remove your comment in shame.
2:58 HERE'S SCOUT!

Dang, this year's saxxy awards has a lot of strong competitors.

3:26 HES NOT EVEN HOLDING THE JEWEL
+Thesummitminecraft I saw that.Is an animation glitch
Thesummitminecraft haha XD
Thesummitminecraft shh
In his pants to make his dick bigger
Thesummitminecraft well, maybe it's not completely 100% perfect, but this vid's still brilliant.
Dude, all of the Saxxy submission's that I've seen so far are FANTASTIC. The quality has certainly gone up this year.
It's a literal crime that this hasn't been made into an official map/type of game mode yet, this animation is awesome!
A wonderful, charming animation where nobody dies. Love it
That was amazing (And basicly and orgasm for any DotA fan).
One of the best SFM i ever seen.
This year is really going to be heavy on voting. Pun not intended. Seriously, so many good entries are popping these last hours. Its going to be hard picking a winner and even harder losing to one.
You do the greatest sfm animation I have ever seen. This, and racing for rupees are my favorites. Keep up the good work!
Great music! I love the Sly Cooper-like theme!!
Dude, dude. This is so damn good that it looks like an official Valve video. Nice job!
Super impressed, guys!
ayyyyyyyyy
Just great! This really deserves a Saxxy, congrats to you and the Team for this masterpiece...Good luck!!!
Reminds me of an old pixar movie.
Same 0_O
I don't know but I just love how Heavy just bust opens and barricades the door.
Should have been nominated as the best overall
Who needs voice lines when you are so talented at animating body language and facial expressions that we know exactly what they're saying at all times?
This reminded me of Sly Cooper with Spy as Sly, Sniper as Bently, and Heavy as Murray.
you gotta admit, even for such a scrawny little guy scouts ability to fight and keep going is amazing
I love how this entry sort of ties in the Dota universe with the TF one.
spy with no mask at the end .... NOICE
I love the sound design in this one. The music and everything is perfect!
At least Heavy managed to steal a 10,000 dollar statue
It isn't 10k. It's 9999 dollars
DerpFace92 _ was that sarcasm?
well its true, but close enough
DerpFace92 _ eh
Umm did you notice the . ? The dollar sign is saying that it's worth 9.999 dollars not 9999 dollars
0:04 SPY'S FIRST FACE REVEAL!!! (0o0)
2:54 Jeez Heavy calm the heck down! LOL
4:53 At least they got something.
Nice work on this one. It has some original comidy to it.
Oh god this reminds me so much of Sly. Were the characters supposed to be so similar to the Sly characters? Because I'm seeing Sly and Murray and Bentley right here.
It feels like it has some inspiration to those games, but I think it is.
the shoulder shrug at the end by heavy. finally got me. damn that was a good one
lol five nights at freddy's logic: doors open when they run out of power. So real.
Shouldn't the spy be like, the best robber ever? He can go invisible and disguise himself!
Don't bring logic. It hurts
I got that Sly Cooper feeling.
Amazing.
Simply..... Amazing.
It has the beautiful Animation *WITHOUT* the "Let's rush this part so people barely understand, but it saves us time" kinda thing. Great Job, you already won a Saxxy.
We have a winrar durr.
Great animation, loved it. Plus massive improvement on the issues with your earlier saxxy entry. Great video, and I hope to see you win a saxxy someday, you definitely have the talent and skills with SFM to do so.
May I ask who was the genius that thought that putting DOTA items in one building was a good idea?
The music is giving me an eargasm. I simply adore this track. As well as the animation of course.
Alternate Title: Spy Cooper.
Very good. Nice fluid animations, just the right pacing... near perfect, really. Great job!
3:07 DAMN Five Nights at Freddy's doors!
+Alomegasupreme It's not FNAF -.-
+Alomegasupreme
Uh, no. Those are just magnet gates.
solitonmedic ikr
Umm no those aren't fnaf doors, fnaf is shit and the community are a bunch of 9 year olds who don't know what a good game is.
+Trentis you know, not EVERYONE is a 8 year old kid, you know?
(-but yeah the fandom is shit-)
This deserves the Saxxy. This is amazing and unique!
Here's some constructive criticism, though I doubt It'll be worth a whole lot. The first is aimed at the Animator/Animators, and the second is aimed at the Writer/Writers.

I would love to see more adventures of these two, This was amazing
Oh boy its rushan. 4:10
You'd think spy would use his cloaking watch
Is this the new Payday 2 dlc hiest, featuring the spy and heavy?
This makes me want to replay the Sly Cooper games.
lol i dont think spy saw the price tag
Me too xD
Oh cool! This is out too! I love how it turned out!
lol why does a museum keep a loaded mini gun in the back room in a box
Why does the museum keep devices capable of unexplored power so easily accessable.
This is just tc_hydro what are you talking about
Cause we are in world full of magic
Just the best entry i've seen so far. Amazing work guys!
2:59 Here's SCOUT!!!
4:23 I Love the Graphics and Camera Views tho
shouldn't blu be attacking xD
Screenments Lol nope
That's gotta be the most agile heavy I've ever seen. This animation is awesome!
2:58 HERE'S SCOUTY!
This should be a extended movie all the fighting is epic and the quality 2
Meridia's Beacon?
A new hand touches the beacon
That was a splendid video dude! Keep up the great work and keep on animating! :)
TF2 Is the Best
These recent saxxy entries are giving me a heart attack they're so good!!!!
I just love Heavy's reaction to entering the maintenance room. "Fuck's this shit?"
I love how they fit so much with their role, scout and soldier epecially, but heavy and spy also fitting
The soundtrack and cinematography is fluid and amazing.
Spy: Grabs the jewel.
The jewel: "A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON..."
Well, i can say goodbye to the saxxy for this year xD
That was fricking awesome man.
Wow, this is the most I've seen packed into 5 minutes! Nice job!
dude you've gotten so much better since I started watching you, been watching since almost the beginning, saw lots of potential in you as an animator dude good fucking job like m8
Congratulation on your nomination. Personally I think this should have won best overall, it's a great concept and very well paced. Great job nonetheless, I look forward to your future videos.
This should won,i like how you added the dota models,it was like a REAL movie
I loved that you used dota items! Great work all around
1:34
Heavy: it's over, Scout. I have the high ground *Activates Minigun*
Scout: Aw crap
THAT FELT LIKE A BIG SLY COOPER ANIMATION
LOVED IT ENTIRELY
Well, this was one of the best animations I have seen so far. Probably a finalist.
This is amazing! The sets are full of so much detail
THE BEST ONE EVUUR ! animations are too damn good , the story , the .. evrything is good !
At about 2:20 the soldier stood still for comically too long, just standing there and letting Spy wreck him with a barrel. This is stark contrast to his agile fighting style otherwise depicted. I do love their expressions around the 4 minute mark ("What have we just do done did?") and Spy's face at the end is just perfect.
Brilliant! The camera was just fantastic!
