Soft top on a search and rescue is unsafe with fire embers and possible falling debris and you can't mount lights safely with a soft top. Hard top is the only way to go

As much as this company's products look very nice, saying wood will not move after we seal it---is impossible. Wood is hygroscopic--it absorbs moisture. Physics 101 in high school says liquids do not compress. Wood is made up of cells that absorb moisture (water) from the atmosphere. You simply cannot contain wood movement due to absorption of moisture, especially when exposed to the elements outside--like a truck bed. You can mitigate it, with careful planning for expansion and contraction, but you will NEVER eliminate it.
