Hi Eric. I just read on your site that you sold the Sherpa, but I was hoping you could answer a couple questions I have about them in general. How long, say on an eighty-degree day, would you need to let the bike warm up both before and after changing the jets? I've put about 12k mi. on mine since I got it, but I've never been happy with how long it takes before its rideable.
@@AceRichness th-cam.com/video/i5OG4pWHkK0/w-d-xo.html, this one is more recent and I got to see the ins and outs of the carburetor. That was really helpful.
@@genevievelizee916 Yeah i got to take out my carb and change the float bowl needle. previous over said that when the gas is left on it will fill the oil in the motor.
@@AceRichness mine actually did that this summer. It turned out that my fuel petcock had failed. It's the vacuum style that comes stock with the bike. I purchased and installed a different one(Tuzliufi Replace Fuel Cock Petcock Valve Tank Switch Suzuki DR200 DR200SE DR250 DR250SE DR350 DR350S DR350SE DR650S DR650SE DRZ125 DRZ350SE DRZ400 DRZ400E DRZ400S DRZ400M DRZ400SM FZR600), that I can manually shut off and fits in perfectly. Just have to re use the bolts and nylon washers and plug the vacuum port on the manifold.(I would check yours too, it's common that these fail too). I confirmed it wasn't my float boal needle seat by putting my finger on the seat to seal it, I had sprayed a little fluid film around the seat first, and blew in the port where the gas comes in. It was sealed. No air was passing and no bubbles. Then cleaned up the carb. Good thing too. My seat is stuck in there good and I didn't want to buy a rebuild kit. Plus, I like the added security of being able to shut off my fuel petcock. Those vacuum rebuild kits for the stock ones, are just as much or more.
Where is the next video ???
