Top 15 Programs to BUILD - EA Sports College Football 25

- Enough about rebuilds. With the new college football video game coming out, EA Sports College Football 25, and only a few days away, many people have been talking about which programs they would like to play as to return to their former glory in dynasty mode. Bringing Nebraska or Miami back to their pre-2000s dominance, the military academies running rampant over the college football world again, or even teams like Tulane being good enough to get reinvited into the SEC. But after I read through what felt like the tenth list in a row that mentioned Colorado, I figured there are two different types of builders in dynasty mode: those who rebuild, and those who build.
Nick Saban was a rebuilder. We're looking for Bill Snyder. We want to build a team from nothing into a college football powerhouse. That's where the fun is at. We're here to build programs, not bring existing titans back to their former glory.
In this video, I look at 15 or so teams across 3 separate "groups" that have some of the most interesting play stories in the game. From schools to build into the modern day BCS busters (UMass, Kennesaw State) to schools that could make the jump to the Power 5 (Colorado State, UConn) to existing P5 schools that need a facelift (Indiana), I chose these schools because they made sense to me, but I'm sure I left a whole bunch of schools off that should be included. Let me know in the comments below.
It appears there are many schools that make sense to build. Should I make a part 2?
Reminder that Kennesaw state and Jacksonville State have a pre-existing rivalry
Ok want a fucking cookie bro? 🍪
@@sddt223 rude af
@@ajlong6297 jk bro chill
As a JSU student fuck Kennesaw and Troy and FSU
Army/Navy/Air Force because the advent of the forward pass was a mistake
I'm making the Marines Might Eagles as one of my first teams
2:17 As an Ohio State fan, I am glad that you're picking the entire MAC conference to build especially with all of the Ohio teams. Akron, Kent State, Miami of Ohio, Ohio Bobcats and Toledo had a first round NFL pick this year. Just because these Ohioans don't get OSU scholarships do not mean that they aren't good. Don't sleep on the MAC.
You mean besides just making a bunch of FCS teams or teams that used to have Football programs? Vanderbilt would be a REAL challenge. In what might be the most famous conference in football, yet NEVER being actually relevant in football, they could be a very fun challenge
Princeton tigers love ?🙂↕️😞
Absolutely love that old charlotte logo
I like the spin. If you’re not planing to build a MAC school at some point what are you even doing? Which MAC school you pick can say a lot about you. I’m personally doing Toledo because when you have a missile outside your stadium pointing directly at your rival, that’s the kind of pettiness in a rivalry I want to be associated with. (If you didn’t know, Toledo has a 1960s US Army Missile outside their stadium that is directly aimed for the 50 yard line of Bowling Green’s stadium)
for me, it's always been Akron. Their stadium is very nice for how small it is and recruiting as the bottom rung of a very tall Ohio ladder is always a fun challenge.
Iowa State. First veterinary school in the U.S.
I'm a WSU alum so rebuilding a new Pac-12 is on my short list. However, I'm also really interested in building up the Utah State football program. They're one of the most overlooked D-1 teams in the country and they'll get all the attention they deserve once I get my hands on the game
And their coach just got fired today so they might as well hire you right now.
Top 3 I'll be building is UTEP, North Texas and Wyoming. North Texas would be fun to play in a Southwest Conference rebuild. Hayden Fry tried to get them in the SWC before him and Snyder left for Iowa.
Teambuilder....Idaho
I’m glad someone finally phrased it the right way! I cannot stand when someone refers to a, “rebuild”, of a team that has never been relevant.
JMU! Nearly brand new to FBS but already has spent time in the top 25, good facilities, and pretty awesome uniform combinations. A fun Sun Belt conference to compete in and if you are crazy in a good way you can elevate them to the ACC eventually.
I wanna turn ULM into a powerhouse so the Alabama loss to ULM people always bring up doesn’t look bad
I feel that. I love the SBC as JMU student and I always will root for other teams in our conference, and the Louisiana schools are in dire need of some attention
Im gonna do Cincinnati, a team and brand that for years dominated G5 opponents, but now being in the Big 12 and being horrendous last year Im bringing them to the top of the football world (Maybe forcing a rivalry with Ohio State)
As somebody who was raised in a Fresno State family, I’ve always wished the Bulldogs were a lot more competitive and relevant than they’ve historically been. I think they’d be an awesome team to build up from scratch.
CSU Stanislaus does not have a football team, I know my mission
I'll go with Georgia State or Texas State. I'm a FSU alum, so that's boring. But one I really want to do is USF just to hunt down, and pass UCF on the national scale
Hawai'i seems like so much fun. The state is beautiful, the uniforms (both retro and modern) are FIRE, and you can basically build them a new stadium guilt-free, without erasing the history of a long-standing venue. Like, seriously, Hawai'i is as gorgeous as it is and yet guys like Tua Tagovailoa and Marcus Mariota are leaving the Oahu to play on the mainland?
100% football in paradise
Hawaii really does just suffer from location. A lot of those guys leave for the mainland because I can guarantee flying from Hawaii to the mainland anywhere from 4-7 times a year is quite draining. Honolulu to LA is 5 1/2 hours. That’s roughly the same time from Philly to LA.
I can’t wait to use Kennesaw State since I live close to them. Gotta use my Florida Gators. UAB and Charlotte and Coastal Carolina are gonna fun to build too
Maryland is another great one, largely apathetic brass, no success to speak of in half a century largely. You could bring them to the ACC(where they belong), revive their rivalries with UNC, Duke, and UVA, and bring the Terps the success that school hasnt seen in the stadium outside lacrosse
Wyoming and Hawaii are my go to for builds
Im a georgia fan and I want to do a dynasty of georgia but it will be too easy. Unless I look at it w challenges of winning the championship every year
I GOT NEWS JACK, THE GULF COAST EMPTIES INTO THE ATLANTIC.
It's only like a 5 hour drive from SMU lol.
I’m going make Wyoming the greatest football program of all time
Glad Colorado State is getting some love. Colorado has gotten way too much attention
It's an interesting premise, but the game always makes builds too easy. Just have successive winning seasons and you're getting 3-stars and 4-stars. Get two ten win seasons and you start getting the occasional 5-star and its a short year or two to the 10-peat. I hope they make it more challenging this time around, but thats something I don't necessarily expect.
You’ve never played the new game
@@primeconor and he's never licked his elbow...the game hasn't come out yet, of course not. His point is valid and there will always be a new game that people say you have to give a chance...just like new politicians on stolen land...same thing year after year
@primeconor No its really easy to get 4 stars, sort by no offer and give them 50 hours, you'll get 75% of them
Tulsa? Thats who i am rebuilding anyways. But definitely will be playing with the Cats!
love the Golden Hurricanes
Yes sir!! I will be doing a rebuild with the Golden Hurricane as well.
North Texas not mentioned 😔
Can you do a Texas A&M rebuild with Mike Elkos tactics in college football 25 please I’m a huge fan
Sorry I meant I’m gonna do
UTEP, NMSU, Charlotte, FIU, Kennesaw State, Arkansas State, Air Force, ECU, San Jose State, Sam Houston State, Wichita State, UTSA, Jax State, Eastern Illinois, and Miami (Ohio) are all the most interesting to me tbh. I am from El Paso though, so UTEP forst and foremost lol
I think another one for the G5 to P4 is Appalachian State, they have one of the prettiest stadiums I think in college football and with wins over teams like Michigan and Texas A&M in their history it could be fun for them.
Realistically if they joined a Power conference that would be the ACC, it’d be a perfect fit for them. Even their basketball team is on the rise as well
so excited, i’ve already planned out my first dynasty. going to turn. the big 12 into a combination of the big 8 and southwest conference (minus arkansas) and i am going to lead the fighting rice owls to glory 🦉🦉🦉the big 12 will run through houston
As a WVU fan I will obviously be building them back into a national contender, but as far as teams I’m not bias towards, I always find interest in building up UConns program and rebuilding the old Big East
La Tech dynasty, bringing us back to the Skip Holtz days
Vanderbilt and Northwestern will be my first two rebuilds. In the old NCAA games I loved flipping conferences on their heads, and with both programs about to get nice new stadiums IRL it’ll be nice to give them(at least in game) quality teams to match the improved stadiums.
alma mater doesn't have football, so I will probably take a bunch of MAC/other midwest schools and put them on a wheel to pick one for me randomly
Not applicable to CFB25, but Charlotte has approved the expansion of Jerry Richardson Stadium
As an Ohio state grad I simply cannot choose my Alma mater. I always liked taking Western Kentucky and putting them in the Big Ten and building them up.
My primary goal is to rebuild the PAC-12 conference. I want to bring the university of Miami back to their Miami standards of old. But I think I’ll choose a smaller school before doing Miami.
my own created school, University of Central Illinois of Evans, illinois. home of the Banditts.
UConn... I'm gearing up to be the last true Independent (Army is American, UMass will be MAC next year - and I hope that's in the game, Notre Dame has 5 ACC games guaranteed - not very Independent now are they?). I'm going to schedule who I want, when I want, where I want. I'm going to play regionally, a Florida school, a Texas school... get some stakes in the ground in some hotbeds as well as some good kids from the Northeast. I plan on staying Independent until I am forced to join a Conference.
Potentially going to do a run where I play as Idaho (through the Team Builder) and have the WAC and Pac-8 existing and do some more realignment. Would be a cool build. Won't do my alma mater of Tennessee because we already are doing great
I’m going to build FIU. It’ll be fun to get fans to fill up the real university of Miami stadium and not coral gables. Do your homework on the real 305 team😂😉
I’m down to UCONN, Kennesaw State, JMU, or Coastal Carolina bc their field😂
Personally I'm using Boise State. Blue field, former 5 star QB, never really won anything before, and tuff unis
What about Columbia ?
I don’t know much about ncaa. I just know, at least in the past, they have a program there.
No FIU mention? In Miami CUSA team, sleeping giant if they had proper facilities.
As a Missouri alum, it will be hard to not to want to take them to a natty
As someone who was raised and now lives in the Nashville area, Vanderbilt and MTSU both seem like great options
I’m doing Coastal Carolina
IU sucks and they should always suck for the rest of time. I might buy this game and play as IU just to make them lose all their games every year
just so we are clear, Texas is on the Atlantic Coast (The Gulf of Mexico is part of the Atlantic )
I’m always just a little frustrated not to see Iowa State on these type of lists. I get that we’re just a bit too good to be appealing for a rebuild, but this is the best our program has ever been. Even if Matt Campbell is doing an amazing job here, it’s one of the toughest jobs in the country.
Iowa State is interesting because they're in the same boat KU is in-they made for great rebuild schools in 14 but they're just good enough now that their success is solid. Like I'm a K-State guy and I can't put us up there for the same reason. There's a lot of schools like that who just don't need a build anymore because the foundation is already there
You lied right away. Nothing’s gonna be short about these last days waiting for the game bro 😂😂
I come from a Michigan family of Eastern and Central grads so thanks for the MAC love.
Teambuilder NWOSU DII-> CFP
Step one before I even play a game in EA CFB 25 will be opening up teambuilder to make Delaware
University of North Texas is my first dynasty team choice.
removing cincinnati from the big 12 and replacing them with smu
Miami Hurricanes..... back to back to back to back.
I’ll be bringing my Hoosiers to the big dance 🤙
Also Michigan state would be a good build
#1: UAB
Sorry, I don't make the rules.
my favorite to built would definitely be Temple
If im doing hometown teams east carolina or app state
All I want is to bring glory to my Idaho Vandals 😔
I think I'll build up Southern Miss
Wyoming!!!!
I will make UConn the greatest college ever
I will be once and for all elevating NDSU to FBS
Might do Wisconsin or Nebraska
Please do the kstate football iceburg
Purdue will have a natty if its the last thing i do
I’m rebuilding Baylor
Sam Houston State and Notre Dame to the SEC
I solely base it on who has jerseys that I like
Tulane or ECU after I take Tennessee to a natty
I am going to take Liberty to the ACC.
I’m looking forward to rep Ball State
im building up Georgia State
I’m thinking Ga Southern
dalukes has uploaded, it is a good day
Come on yall, pick my Mean Green.
Akron Zips…..always….
I’m taking Tulsa to the top
BRING BACK THE KIBBIE DOME!!!!
West Virginia mountaineers
Yall are sleeping on Jacksonville State
Electric team that took out FSU as the first team to ever beat them from the FCS
Made it into a bowl in their first year and won with a walk off field goal
Killer fight song
Great build for a team who is new to the FBS
sounds like they don't need built, they're already there
Old Dominion Monarchs
Vandals and cougs
App state is gonna be fun.
Would be interesting to have West Virginia, Cincinnati and UCF to the ACC and Cal, Stanford and SMU to the big 12. Just for traveling.
This would be only football
I usually build up every school from my home state (Louisiana) Except for LSU, Or the weaker teams from my current state (Texas) So i'll probably start with ULM or Rice
I recently spreadsheeted out 40 teams to narrow down my top 10. Factoring in last 10 year win %, last bowl win, number of 10 win seasons all time and historical performance. The following is my top 10
Inidiana
Iowa State
Texas State
UTEP
Tulsa
Sam Houston
Akron
Kennesaw
Florida Int
Jax State
Georgia State!!
I'm glad you made that distinction because I always people saying stuff like "omg I can't wait to rebuild San Jose State" tf you mean "re-"??? They've never been built in the first place!!! That term gets thrown around too liberally these days
Nice list. Personally, I'm considering my own alma mater eastern Michigan and possibly Rice. Along with obviously rebuilding the Pac 12
Western Michigan
UCLA or MSU first!
I always found P5 rebuilds like Indiana more fun/challenging than MAC schools. You can get even a bad MAC school to the 8-10 win range pretty quick since even your good conference opponents are often outside the top-40. Running the Big Ten gauntlet as Indiana is a whole different monster.
My order of attack with a new game is usually: 1) Ohio State national championship, 2) get Buffalo to the Big Ten, 3) Indiana national championship, 4) Army, 5) triple option all day long
