  • Until recently, the competitiveness of the tourism sector was largely determined by expansion on the demand side, measured in terms of both the quantity and value of visitors. The economy, society, and environment are all affected by tourism, both positively and negatively. In addition to responding to increasing demand for traveling, the tourism industry is expected to reduce negative impacts caused by the supply side. Through the efforts of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), Thailand's practices are highlighted, emphasizing that sustainable tourism is now a must for improving productivity for the present and future.

    This theory is very much appreciable. But we need to train the local people on tourism and promotion of the local culture, products and themes.
