People say that we are in the golden years of guitars and pedals…same with amps. I own a Tone King Imperial MkII and love ALL that it does. Having said that…a Carr Bel-Ray would be pretty nice to own.
I like how the "breakup" the design mfr tried to keep out is what players wanted to keep in😮. matched sensitive in's, pots, redirects , hit, eq, pwr push, true att' squeeze, outs, throat spkrs, You can really hear the strings.😊😊😊, low priced beginings, high priced endings😮😢, andvso many to choose from,,,,❤
Mr. John Bohlinger looks somewhat like blonde Gary Numan from "Tubeaway Army" era. I mean, posh style, nothing negative about it, big up! He can also review premium Moog synths with the style like this!
I think most of the Carr amps are in the $2-4K range. Same playground as Dr Z, Suhr, Tone King, Friedman, and Magnatone. I can attest that you really do get what you pay for with boutique amps. Or maybe I’m just making myself feel better 😉
@@jerryhorton5708no, you are right, you 100% get what you pay for. Been playing nearly 20 years, worked in a music shop for a few and got to play tonnes of different amps. I bloody love my Carr Sportsman, never heard an amp sound this good, be this hum and be totally free of hiss,I mean dead silent!

8 years ago you had black hair & demoed a Carr w/ a black LP. Today you have silver hair & a gold top & are still a chops master.
He looks way better with silver hair too.
@@bugeyedmudafuka2 Yeah he has that Jim Jarmusch thing going on. Very cool.
Love this guy! Always upbeat, and great, great playing chops. Rock it my Brother!
Thank you kindly!
Great demo of a great amp, thanks John. Always enjoy your videos. Tasteful playing and excellent production. Keep up the good work.
✌🏻
What an amp! Sounds incredible. And nice playing, John!
John you really sold me on this amp; I was also looking at the Super Bee; but to me I think this Bel Ray is more versatile and for my sound 👍
John I love your demos
Next week it’s on order 👍
Sounds fantastic
Killer amp, great job John 21:19
Great demo! I appreciate that you started with playing versus 10 minutes of talking. 😊
That amp is really versatile and the tones are useable
Sounds fantastic keep on rocking 🎸🎸

Oh great! Another amp I cant live without. Thanks John…thanks a lot. My wife is gonna tell the kids I want to live on a farm.
I used to have a Carr Mercury V. I regret selling it! Very well made amps and it sounded great. My mistake!
Same here🙁
Hope to get another Carr in the future though😁👍👍
Had a regular mercury and i feel you. Ended up with a 40 watt amp I can’t use past 2, mistakes were made!

FYI---> The backing track is WAY too loud.
Jazz-funk-fusion intro sounds like it's high in vitamin C....
Can I have this one as B-stock after you whacked it with the headstock? 😮😂
❤🤘🏽🥃
Just gonna show a and boost with a new keeley pedal? No biggy.
lol ...no kidding!
It’s an unforgiving sound tho eh?
Voice over is muffled and sub par for your usual Leve
Sounds terrible
Freak
OK boomer.
Another boutique amp that probably costs more than my house !
