  • One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that the rear shock is the same part # as a Honda 50. So if you can’t find one for a ttr you can use a Honda one
    In this video I show you how to install fork legs, springs, bushings, and a rear shock on a Yamaha or Honda 50 all years. I made this video because Ive found it hard to find helpful, new, high quality, and informative videos on some of these basic parts installs.
    Hey all thank you for checking out my sixth video! I make crappy videos and get nervous in front of the camera. Hopefully you like it enough to subscribe and wait to see whats coming!

    I have a ttr 50 to that I have a bunch of stuff done to if you want more power out of it instead of getting the GYTR ttr50 big bore kit get a ttr90 crank cylinder and piston and you will haft to split the cases but they you will have more power and get the jet size 72.5 and 15 I did it to mine and it rips now.

    Does the TTR 50 take any fork oil? Didn’t see any drop out and you didn’t put any back in. Seems odd coming from bigger bikes.

    • @uncledingovlogs
      @uncledingovlogs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No they don't. The 50s just use springs and grease

    I have a stock 2019 TTR50. Looking to lift it up a bit and stiffen the suspension. Where can I get these parts nowadays? Fast50s says these extended forks only fit up to 2017 bikes. Thank you

    • @uncledingovlogs
      @uncledingovlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know I'm not sure sir. I would GUESS that they still fit, but there's no way to know without pulling your bike apart and looking. Which, to be honest, is fairly easy to do

    what electric start button and kill switch did u get that fit the 7/8 bar without changing the wires

    • @uncledingovlogs
      @uncledingovlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the factory kill switch it fit with no issues. I made a modified bracket to clamp the factory start button the the bars. Not very sofisticated

    How do you decompress the rear shock and how do I replace just the fork springs?

    • @uncledingovlogs
      @uncledingovlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why do you need to decompress the rear shock? You should be able to push the swingarm down and slide the new shock in no problem.
      For the fork springs, you just skip all the steps to disassemble the fork assembly and just unscrew the stock springs, and then screw your new springs on.

    • @uncledingovlogs
      @uncledingovlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      18:00 mark. Its hard to say because I did everything at once(the shock, and front suspension) and I gained 3 inches in seat height with the stock seat. But then I threw on the BBR seat and gained another few inches
