Fuck been having the same issue for Fken ages LOL now i know what it is I Replaced the new clock spring but I never replaced the Angel Sensor now i just order the Angle Sensor thanks
@devilthao5458 The angle aensor won't be set perfectly to zero, so it will kick an error. You'll have to go to Nissan or a mechanic with software to reset it!
this video is awesome, best one out there. I'm in the middle of this shit right now, my son replaced the clock spring and he must not of got it back together correctly, but he drove it for about 2 weeks? strange, now the ABS is screeching whenever we drive it and turn the wheel. So yes you have to re-calibrate it with a scanner, from what I've seen cheapest scanner that does SAS {steering angle sensor} is about $250, but its a cheap Chinese one. I'm getting one for $315 at Autozone, the Innova 3160RS, not every scanner does SAS btw. garages want 1hr of labor for it - about $100-150
Thank so so much I just replaced the clock spring because my horn was not working . That solved my problem but after I did that my skid light came on and wont go away, I had a bald tire so I bought a new one thinking that was the problem but the light is still on . I think that steering sensor is not lining up . I need to take apart again and line it up correctly.. Thank you so much for this video.
I get that light too and the one that says brake as if the emergency brake was on. What might it be? A stuck emergency brake on one or both rear wheels? I know they have a cable connected to them and I have no idea if anything happened with it. It is getting near 60,000 miles. I don't know if a hose got damaged or what. It could be seemingly anything with these newer vehicles. It does not seem to lose control or do anything weird. Of course I would have to make sure not to do anything that could cause a skid since the lights may indicate it disabled the traction control for some odd reason. Is there any brake fluid that could have caused it?
hi i have a nissan qashqai j10, also after installing the airbag spring, now i have esp light on and the car does not exceed 3000 rpm, i have aligned the steering badly. i tried several times to align the steering correctly with the marks on the column but nothing. i also did the sas steering alignment procedure. but the error does not go away it comes back immediately after a few meters. C1130 my error obd
So in order to this job. We have to have a scanner similar to the one you have? I have an autell scanner, but I don't think it can check steering angle . What should cost of service be to have someone only reset the angle?

Hi so my Nissan Rogue 2013 traction light and ABS came on but nothing else I tried resetting the dashboard lights and they still stayed on. any idea what it could be?
Question...if im replacing the clockspring and put the sensor back correctly when transfering stuff over, will I have to use a scanner that can do a SAS reset? Trying to avoid having to go to a shop to reset the sensor after replacing the clockspring
Replaced tie rod end on both sides of the Rogoe, steering wheel is turned to the left as I drive straight, now my traction control light is blinking, and the car is slowing down on its own.
@adekoyaanuoluwapo1934 Get a front end alignment. The unaligned tires, will throw the steering angle sensor off, and cause the traction light to blink on and off at times. The traction system thinks the car is on ice or loosing traction, so it slows the vehicle down automatically.
Dude! Same problem. Your video reinforced my beliefs. Installed a whole new clock spring and angle sensor! Thanks!

Thank you. Great video. Had exact problem. Replaced a clock spring but these tabs were not placed correctly. Re opened it and now error gone.
What is the number for the safety socket to remove the screw under the steering wheel?

I think you can do it with that scanner but not sure. As far as having someone do the reset it really depends on the shop or you have do it.

I believe you will have to have a scanner to do the relearn but I'm not 100% on that.
Where you located I need mines fix please
great video, thanks for sharing.

You need an alignment
