Soccer is actually quite big in the U.S. for children as an extra.curricular, it only becomes less popular once they get to secondary school and college and beyond. Lady Bugs as well as Kicking and Screaming are also fun kids soccer movies. Best Regards!
If you haven't seen it and if you like soccer movies, then "Lady Bugs" should also be on your list. Fun Fact: During the first game between The Big Green and The Knights, Sheriff Tom (Steve Guttenberg) mentioned Bubba Smith after Kate (Jessica Robertson) tackled a Knights player. Steve Guttenberg starred in the first four Police Academy films, which also starred Bubba Smith as Hightower.
I love how invested you got in the final match! Sports movies will do that. 😁 I forgot Olivia d'Abo was in this. 😍 Big crush on her in my youth. Conan the Destroyer (watch Conan the Barbarian first 😅) and Greed (with Michael J. Fox and Kirk Douglas) are two more with her. Larry (Patrick Renna) was in a couple movies around this time and has some good comedic timing. Sandlot, a coming of age period piece, is worth a watch.
New subscriber, love the channel. About time someone focused on 80s/90s movies! You may have a big list of suggestions already, but I'd love to see your take on Rain Man. Absolute 80s classic that few people have done reaction videos about.
I grew up playing soccer and loving this movie. I’m also from Texas and this movie hits hard… I recently became a fan of Wrexham AFC because of the documentary… this movie was pure comedy… but also filled with real issues I never picked up as a kid. I think I like this more than the Sandlot now.
Brandon "Bug" Hall (Newt) is married with five kids now, four girls and one boy. Patrick Rema (Larry the goalie) is married too but with two kids, two boys.
Awww, you should've included that "Sunny Side Up" scene where they're playing soccer in the muddy rain!

Lol I remeber getting this for my birthday the year it came out along with the Indian in the cupboard. Little giants is also a good one from then
An absolute childhood favorite - I use to quote it with my family all the time - thanks for this ;)
The red hair boy and big boy. He's in Sandlot and also in the son in-law. Great movies.

Ladybugs has not aged well, FYI. How Did This Get Made did a great episode tearing it apart though.
Patrick F ...And I bet you think "Your The Man" is a huge feminist win, right?
This movie made me crush really hard on Olivia d'Abo, which I already had watching reruns of "The Wonder Years".
My favorite line is probably her reasoning for the goat being at the first game: he just happened to be in the car, ok…

Same here. I already had a big crush on her from "The Wonder Years" but this movie just made it even bigger.
