This is soo awesome. I haven't see much keyboards recently so watching one again after a while really refreshed my eyes while watching this masterpiece xD, the intro was soo good and all other transitions too. For the board part, I think you explained all of them really well, with the app too! Also bout the back of it, i think they should've also tried a new design on the back other than normal pvd weight as the other layouts/65%'s too. Its seems there's so much space that can be customized, though are wasted. Nonetheless, the LCD screen looks great! Way nicer than LEDs imo. And i actually prefer the all foams with no weight! It doesn't sound too deep like all foams with weight, it sounds pretty in the middle. Not that deep, but has a bit of clack to it. Nice thoughts on the feel and other things haha. Totally agreed with you dude.
I currently have the GMMK Pro and I so want this of course Id have to wait but THAT SPACE BAR SOUNDS SO MOIST and when I do get it I wanna do both Bandaid mod and plumbers mod the board is just SO AMAZING
The shims I mentioned are spacers that go vertically between the legs of the housings, not the horizontal washer ones typically found on durock stabs. I believe for tx stabilizers there are shims for both 1.2 and 1.6mm as they are clip in, not screw in. It adds stability.
I thought the same thing about the back and side design being too boring or dull cause I find the look works better on the zoom65 but not on here with the larger surface feeling a little wasted. I wish they took more inspiration from their Zoom TKL design and is the reason I prefer the look of the QK75 more.
Totally agree with you, I prefer a more minimalistic, sharper design. But then again, this design is unique to the zoom series and interesting to have a difference in the market
NOTES: -Extras are up for pre order today on select vendors! There is still a chance to grab a zoom 75 for yourself! -Confirmed with Meletrix that the app issue is due to it still being in a beta testing stage, will not be an issue on production units
Hey mate, I love your content and I love learning about MK through your channel. Just a bit of feedback: can you practice enunciating your words? It's sometimes hard to understand what you're saying when you're speaking in a rush. Just a thought.
Thanks for the feedback! I am aware that I do go a little too fast with my voice overs and my words aren't always clear😅 I'll take note of this for future videos :)
Great stream man. I just got interested with kb hobby almost 2weeks ago and I missed out on the groupbuy and preorder for the zoom75 se white that I want. I found one overseas but it’s gonna be $80 more expensive than getting it from a local usa vendor(all sold out) Do you think it’s still worth it if I’m paying $80+ more? Hope you can give me your thoughts it’s gonna be my first custom board if ever.
Apologize for the later reply, thanks for the comment! If you have the time, I'd suggest you wait for a re run of this board or the qk75 or jris 75. All three are solid for their price so you could look out for the one re-running the soonest. Otherwise, you could also take a look at the upcoming mkc75, its essentially a cheaper jris 75.
10/10 review, looked everywhere to hear what it sounds like without the internal weight because I messed up and ordered mine without it. Does it feel bad without the internal weight? Hoping I didn't mess up on not ordering (I love the deep thoccy sound). Amazing video btw!
The kit comes with a filler in case you didn't order the internal weight. I feel it's more about adding weight than changing the sound profile. I think you'll be fine!
Thanks for the comment! As el10leo mentioned, the weight imo mainly adds weight and the kit comes included with a filler foam for the case. Although there is a difference in sound (slightly higher pitched, slightly "clearer"), I'd say its marginal and you shouldn't worry if you forgot to add it to your order. Especially since your going for a deeper sound, the internal weight wouldn't be necessary anyways haha. If you got the flex cut PCB, I'd say the biggest difference you can make is by taping the flex cuts, it allows for a lot more character instead of a flat, "one dimensional" sound.
7:07 reminds me of the sound of rain dropping and I like it

Thanks for the comment! Agree with you on the desgin choices about the back, we'll have to see if they change it up on future boards 👀
It's a keyboard I really want to have. The sound is good and it looks so pretty..
Great video! Look forward to next gb
That 5s intro was toppp
I got the flex cut pcb and pc plate but no internal weight. do you think adding the internal weight would make the sound fuller?

Quick question: i thought shims for stabs were only for 1.6 mm clip ins on 1.2 mm pcbs? Why did you put the shims on 1.2 mm stabs?

should i get flex cuts if I’m using all foam? please someone help. i’m getting the wireless version
If you want wireless connectivity, only the flex cut pcb is offered. If you are using all foams, w or w/o flex cut will have a marginal difference
is this with the flex PCB?

Thanks for letting us know, YBBK!

Damn i ordered the Flexcut pcb because i was pretty new at this time. Regret it...
You shouldn’t the sound difference is minor when using foams
How can a keyboard that costs few hundred $ to assemble bi considered entry board? Just curious
cause this is an expensive hobby
Sold. Out.
This board was a group buy run meaning it was only on sale for a limited time
It’s available now on the website.

I knew I wouldn't like the foamed config, but man that sound just made me sick in the stomach. This board finally rose from the plateau of foam era.
Haha I guess our preferences are opposite 😂
6:25
I had to play it back so many times because you talk too fast.
you can try forcebreaking the stainless steel weight to reduce the case resonance further
I usually do on lower end boards however with this board I didn't notice any issues regarding pinging stock thus didn't see the need to forcebreak
the color grading on this video is insane, what does it actually look like
is the backplate this brown? i.imgur.com/ZjsjT1W.png
