Thanks for the instructions. Got it up and running in the UK on a giffgaff sim card. Works great, I wired the relay to the horn so if I am near to my car but can't find it exactly, I sms the command and switch on the car horn. Server is working on mine too. Mine is in the car interior behind the dash and the signal is fine.
I reckon based on everyone’s comments this device does not work efficiently. I also did notice the author does not reply or assist anyone so it’s a 👎🏾👎🏾
I've spent two days trying to get it to work with a web tracking application, to no avail here in Colombia. Putting the sim in and changing some parameters was simple enough. I'm in Colombia, and have a 4G sim that is supposed to do 3G too. I don't know about 2G Some say the tracker only works with 2G, but that seems a bit silly for a "modern" design. Anyways, the SMS messages come in and get sent back to the Admin cell phone. I changed all kinds of settings trying to "connect" with Yuntrack and Traccar. I'm not sure if the CJ720 is supposed to talk with the local carrier MMS or internet server. I downloaded the traccar client app to an Android phone, for testing of the phone's settings, and could get a location, but not any tracks when I walked around the block. Iffy stuff at best.
Thank you for your instruction that helped me a lot with my CJ780 device being very similar to th CJ720. I recently found out how to get online to the YunTrack server on my PC as well as on my Android phone YunTrack-App. 1. I found the IP address for the gpscj.net domain is 113.98.254.179 2. Set the device IP with the SMS - command adminip123456 113.98.254.179:7700 and you are online! Good luck
Finally, the comment I was looking for. Was worried that I cannot configure it to a server of my choosing. If it allows me to change server & port, I should be able to work it
Thanks for this analysis. I have been interested in one of these for some time and eagerly look forward to seeing you succeed in getting it working properly.
For your problems with gpscj site. I've had luck with NOT messing about with server settings. Other than the basic set up. I changed the apn my telco and changed the update time in seconds(1-180). I set mine to 180 seconds, it'll upload its own location every 2 minutes. Saving battery and data. It doesn't matter really; once engine is started and device is in active mode, the unit uploads data every 5-15 seconds. In disarmed mode, you'll won't be getting any vibration alarms. Only power cut. I don't have high hopes for that small lipo cell though, it might just fail outright when you needed it most. So hide it well. Chances are they won't be driving without a battery anyways. I use the relay to drive my keyless start kit. Since the rfid ring takes around 20ma as it pulses for the presence for key. It does this all day and all night, so this handy relay helps.
Thanks for the great video I recently purchased one of these and will be installing it soon... I am looking forward to more videos like this one and hope to see that video about the server soon soon.... Thnks
Sir, can you test the module if it is normally open or normally close without power, i need to know if the cutoff line is normally open or close if it no power. Thanks
This is a very useful and detailed video. I have bought several gps trackers and now have one of these to test. I want something I can attach to my motorbikes that is reliable and can cut the fuel. But where as the others need to be hidden and that mean the satellite gps function is less reliable, with this device I can have it exposed because it looks like a relay. I glad you dissembled the unit as it shows there is no physical relay but a MOSFET to switch the power to the fuel pump etc. It does draw 60mA in standby, so the bikes need to be kept on charge when not in use. It would be good if the GPS and GSM circuits powered down until movement was detected thus only requiring a few mA when in standby, but I do no if there is a command for this. Can you share the link for creating you own server? Great job. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah their documentation on this product is very very poor. Even today a year later. You are able to make the GPS tracker to go to sleep if you send "sleep123456 shock". Then it will only draw very few mA until the device is shaken.

It doesn't work at all, unless you open the hood. However, when it can't get a GPS lock, it will determine the position by triangulation of the cell signal, which, of course is far from precise.

not sure about that one, better get the ST901 tracker. I ordered this one on amazon but a nasty seller sent out aC13 to many buyers, never worked so I ask them to shut him down. I will try the ST901 now with Sino software, not sure, should work without too I guess

yt does a great job in counting: 0 views, 7 likes =D
Great video
Multiple Servers deliver the video and collect likes and other information without updating the information immediately. This allows load sharing without having unnecessary bottlenecks. :)
@@zvpunry1971 yeah, =D thanks
have a great day
That's an interesting product. However, putting one in typical car relay places like under the hood or down low at the driver side can affect negatively gps and sellular signal.
I was thinking one could install this under the dashboard and get good reception.
