Disclaimer in light of recent developments: I recorded this video a few weeks before the new allegations dropped, and I contemplated scrapping his segment. In the end, I chose not to. Not as a means to side with Manson, as I deeply disown his actions, but because of this: the moment music leaves an artist's studio and enters my ears, it's no longer theirs: it's mine. The feelings I associate with it, the memories it conjures, the meaning it gives me.... all mine. So given that everything I say in this video still holds true for MY experience, I'm sticking to it. I'll let the legal system deal with everything else. Props to Evan Rachel Wood for speaking up.
The ERW lawsuit is looking increasingly sketchy. She and her girlfriend pretended to be FBI agents to get info etc. A lot of people no longer believe the accusations.
Can we move on from that mess and get a Manson tier list, all recent info considered? Signed to Nuclear Blast, new album coming up, Sober, winning or settling court cases.. I mean, sided with ERW or not, you should be able to move past the call for cancelation at this point.
Streetcleaner isn't the best option, he said for beginners and this album is a very hard listen that only people who are familiar with experimental music can appreciate it
I remember the first time I heard Demanufacture (Zero Signal) was actually the Mortal Kombat movie during the Johnny Cage & Scorpion fight scene. One of my earliest "I need to be a metalhead" moments.
A personal favorite of mine is Strapping Young Lad- City. Its just a stupidly heavy album that doesn't take itself too seriously. Everything Devin Townsend touches is pure genius!
My introductions: NIN’s Discography Fear Factory-Demanufacture Ministry-Land of Milk and Honey Rammstein-Mutter Rob Zombie-Hellbilly Deluxe Strapping Young Lad-City
its a crime that Circle of dust doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves. Brainchild or self titled were so good, people getting into industrial should check em out.
Love Rammstein and Static-X like a bit of Fear Factory and NIN too. I do wonder what album would you put for Godflesh ? Also a underrated industrial metal album for me in Rude Awakening by Prong.
Ministry "Psalm 69", Killing Joke "Pandemonium" and Godflesh "Selfless" were better options than any manson or static x record. And i like the early 3 manson records at least.
@@MetalTrenches Psalm 69 more straight up industrial? that's the album that completely went more metal than the previous album. that album is also a great entry level album. Antichrist Superstar is more industrial than metal compared to 69. You should listen to it again cuz it is not what you claim it is to be. The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste is my fav Ministry album and Psalm 69 is most def more metal than that album.
Godflesh - Streetcleaner Ministry - Psalm 69 Strapping Young Lad - City I can't believe people are shocked about these Manson allegations. I'd be shocked if he didn't have any allegations honestly.
@@MetalTrenches Well, imagine when starts Ultra, the first song from NIhil. If it doesnt hook someone into this music, what alse could hook such man? And Godflesh - you right, probably it is specific and maybe not the first recomodation for new listeners.
I would of had front line assemblys millennium or skinny puppy's the process or ministry psalm 69 or KMFDMs angst. Would trade out the fragile in exchange for broken
You don't even listen to industrial music, just top 40 type. You need to actually listen to chemlab, pig face, enstaodne nubauten(sp), Bible, and anything thrillers has done to say that you listen to industrial music!
This video is recommending albums for getting into industrial metal. Those aren’t bands aren’t really accessible. Chemlab isn’t even metal they are industrial rock. Chemlab is still kickass though

Also because let’s face it - Manson is nothing without the muscle of the controversy free musicians behind him in the past making it happen

Strapping Young Lad - City
Godflesh - Streetcleaner
Fear Factory - Demanufacture

Dude those movies had the best soundtracks. The one from the second movie got me into a bunch of stuff.
A personal favorite of mine is Strapping Young Lad- City. Its just a stupidly heavy album that doesn't take itself too seriously. Everything Devin Townsend touches is pure genius!
Always
agree. Alien is also excellent
Wisconsin Death Trip by Static X is still a favorite of mine.
My introductions:
NIN’s Discography
Fear Factory-Demanufacture
Ministry-Land of Milk and Honey
Rammstein-Mutter
Rob Zombie-Hellbilly Deluxe
Strapping Young Lad-City
All great stuff
its rape and honey - not milk and honey :D
its a crime that Circle of dust doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves. Brainchild or self titled were so good, people getting into industrial should check em out.
I'll check it out.
Do you remember Pitchshifter? That was the band that got me into industrial thanks to Test Drive 5 and Twisted Metal 3.
Was just talking about them yesterday lol. I LOVE www.pitchshifter.com
@@MetalTrenches fun album. PSI was also a solid release from them that a lot of people missed.
Love Rammstein and Static-X like a bit of Fear Factory and NIN too. I do wonder what album would you put for Godflesh ? Also a underrated industrial metal album for me in Rude Awakening by Prong.
Streetcleaner

I love those albums but I consider them to be more straight up industrial than industrial metal. Not sure I would consider those entry level either.

Same 😂
Prong Rude Awakening is a gem but also pretty accessible
Good choice 🤘🏻
Antichrist Superstar is legendary. Fear Factory is one of the greatest, not enough recognition. NIN Somewhat Damaged! Ministry missing, Land of?
Love those first 3 Ministry albums in particular
rob zombie - hellbilly deluxe is my favorite industrial metal album and band
I see fear factory as thrash or groove metal more than industrial, but that album is fire and i remember blasting it back in the day.
KMFDM... NIhil or Angst. And Godflesh - Streetcleaner, of course.
Also great choices. Maybe not as accessible for newcomers though

The Fragile is not only, one of the best Industrial Metal albums fo all time, it's one of the greatest albums period! :D
I would of had front line assemblys millennium or skinny puppy's the process or ministry psalm 69 or KMFDMs angst. Would trade out the fragile in exchange for broken
Psalm 69 from Ministry is a game changer too
5 more recommendations:
Bile - Sex Reflex
Rammstein- Herzleid
3TEETH - METAWAR
Hanzel und Gretyl- Scheissmessiah
Strapping Young Lad - City
I know I'm a bit late with this comment but I recommend checking out Sybreed. A criminally underrated band and all their albums are amazing.
Ministry's Psalm 69 is a must. also, KMFDM's Angst.
Most of fear factory's early work is absolutely phenomenal.
The Amenta need to be in this list. If you don't know them, you need to listen to them.
The peak of Industrial Extreme Metal.
They have a new album
Well I think you should include Rob/white zombie xd. Astro Creep and Hellbilly Deluxe are much more iconic than anything about Static X
Probably gonna catch a lot of flak for this; but where does Orgy’s “Candyass” fall (if at all) in this category for you?
The Fragile , not really industrial , far from being metal.
The Downward Spiral should be a better choice
Stabbing Westward would be in this list imo.
You don't even listen to industrial music, just top 40 type. You need to actually listen to chemlab, pig face, enstaodne nubauten(sp), Bible, and anything thrillers has done to say that you listen to industrial music!
You must have a lot of meaningful relationships
