Deepender Mukherjee, you bring back some VERY old memories to me. My father, who is long deceased, worked for agriculture and farm credit department of our (USA) government at the time India gained her independence from England. He got a job which entailed going out into the interior and inspecting their agriculture co-ops and making loans from our government to purchase tractors and farm machinery to replace their ox-carts, and teaching them how to use them. It was a wonderful time to live there...EVERYONE spoke English, and it was very safe (I usually rode my bike to work) and they were working hard in every area of their lives to merit their independence. I was a senior in high school and took my senior year by correspondence and worked as a secretary to the manager of the American Embassy Commissary. And we drove to jammu and Kashmir for a vacation while living there. And as you might guess, our “hotel” in Kashmir was a houseboat on beautiful Dahl Lake. I wonder if it is as big and beautiful now as it was at that time. I seems as though I may have heard sometime back that it is much smaller now. Thank you for taking me on a very enjoyable trip “ down memory lane”.
Wanted to add he was also in the movie, Bobby Jones: A stroke of genius. He had a few small parts. First time I ever saw him in 2005, i heard the voice and said, I know that voice! Lol
