A couple of black guys named Noob and Awesome along with a Jewish woman named Danielle watch the Oscar winning film Moonlight. This is a great film for the black and LGBTQ+ community. This is a first time blind reaction.We've never seen this before.

Watched this with my black gay friend/roommate a couple of years ago. Absolutely destroyed him & was happy to see the struggle represented.

This is a great black and LGBT film

This film was amazing. The performances felt so real. Even the characters, like the mom, who could have so easily been this caricature of an addicted black woman was done with such subtlety and nuance, that you really felt for her, even though you wanted to hate her. There are very few films that show the black gay experience. It's something that would be completely alien to me, as a film viewer.
As a gay man, I found the film touching, heart-breaking, and yet full of hope for all these characters just trying to make their way in the world.

If you guys are wanting feedback…the video screen is so small that it’s barely visible so it’s hard to follow along what part of the movie you’re reacting to, and you’ve cut out/spoken over the top of a lot of context for scenes. So the result is that your discussion is void of the context of the movie for your viewers. You also spend huge periods of time not discussing the movie or your reaction to it?

this is my favorite movie! i feel a personal connection to it because a) i’m from miami, the aesthetics of this film are very comforting to me and b) the director, barry jenkins, is an alumni of the university i’m attending!

A lot of times because we react to so many movies. We get 45 minutes deep and are like "man we got so much time left" but this just flew by. Got me wanting to see other Barry Jenkins films. Florida looked beautiful in this movie
