We have a pumpkin festival here each fall where they sell all pumpkin related foods ( of course also pumpkin bratwurst - SO good ) , my favorite is the pumpkin flammkuchen ( can‘t translate that ), its amazing. And oc they are selling stuff like marmelade, champagne, lemonade, soup, cake and so on. And there is also a huge pumpkin exhibition where they show the biggest pumpkins and art made out of them. Its really beautiful as its taking place in the garden of the castle Ludwigsburg ( that‘s near Stuttgart ). Some items you guys tried reminded me of that. My hometown is also known for pumpkins and every year when my birthday rolls around late october they have the month filled with activities such as pumpkin paddling: hollowed out pumpkins used as canoes, it's a race and mainly for entertainment purposes, where people from america come over and try to compete in this fun race and they dress up and stuff 😁 Also pumpkin shooting: using giant slingshots and wooden trebuchets to shoot the pumpkins as far away as possible. Also a pumpkin fair that was the start of the whole thing, they sell everything from pumpkin beers to pumpkin fries, soup, cupcakes, waffles, ... Four men also created a gin out of pumpkin (or the seeds, I dunno) but still no pumpkin spice latte flavored items unfortunately... I'm SO jealous of Americans right now 😂😂

Pumpkin spice can be heavy on the cloves. In my opinion cloves are only good for toothaches. Pop tarts are awful, try Toaster Strudel! When I was a kid, they had Post Toastees. They were way better than Pop Tarts. Most pumpkin spice products are just the warm spices that one would use to make pumpkin pie. Thank God! LOL!

I'm not a big fan of the "pumpkin spice", but I like food with actual pumpkin in it. A basic pumpkin pie with whipped cream (from a squirt can, not that oil-based Cool Whip) is my favorite pumpkin food. I did try a pumpkin cake roll that I found at a grocery store that was pretty good though; it was one of those large cake rolls that has a cream cheese filling inside and sold in the refrigerated section.

Just steam fresh pumpkin chunks, smash & drain any excess fluid, then add brown sugar, a few eggs, butter, a little milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, fresh grated ginger, a little flour or corn starch to thicken it up. Bake at medium heat until top browns! Tadaaa! Nothing better except sweet potato pie which is pretty similar♡
