Was getting ready to post splits, but you beat me to it. ;) Level stop dings on 0xx, 1xx, 3xx, 6xx, 7xx, 9xx, 11xx, and 12xx. Wasn't for long though, and the first 300 seems that 1:06 may be the best it can be due to play speed cap. A 3:52 looks doable, MAYBE a 3:51, but I don't blame you if focus shifts elsewhere. Congratulations on this new record.
@@znc6359 In terms of ???? Speed cap on the first 300 is well known, as KevinDDR brought it up during AGDQ his first go-around. As for the level stop dings, you'll hear a sort of high-pitched "bell" at x99; listen at 099, 199, 399, and so on to understand what I mean. If you mean the splits, when watching TGM2 or TGM3 master videos, or in this case a world record chase, I'll typically put split times (to the second since I write it live) into the comments to help with post-game analysis. EricICX does this in post-production.
I don't understand how anyone is able to think this fast. I tried playing tgm myself at ctwc and it was insane. It takes a very special type of person and a lot of practice and time and effort to get this good. I honestly don't know if anyone will ever beat this record unless Eric himself does it
There are so many things I can say about this. First and foremost -- holy shit eric leave some tetris for the rest of us mere mortals wow hahahaha. Second, I love how absolutely unhinged this mode gets, it's beyond uncontrollable for all but the best. And the music is fantastic, too. Oh yeah, and also ggwp, holy crap. One more thing: I love how I can now see some of those NEStris roots in the stacking decisions made in this, just that you do them so damn fast. Sheesh.
World Rule is the Tetris corps mandatory ruleset, involving mechanical differences that allow hard achievements to become easier due to techniques like lock time infinite resets. Classic mode is the harder, and generally more played on mode because of this.
@@Gizmomaster7There are not infinite resets. In fact, in this game, there are less manipulations allowed than any Guideline game. It does not make the game easier-- in fact, I would argue it's slightly harder, as the game was NOT designed around it and your manipulations/r often end up costing you more and more time that REALLY adds up. It lets you survive more things, sure, but it's a LOT slower also due to the lack of Sonic Drop. That said, I personally use World rule because ARS sucks and I hate it, it feels unresponsive and nonsensical with how only *some* spins/twists are allowed and not others. It's wack Edit, sorry about the BILLION replies, TH-cam bugged out so badly
@@justcuz8202i agree to this, specially on the "ARS sucks" part i only play world rule because i'm a modern tetris player and i'm already used to SRS so it's easier for me
@@Hal9023 Ah, well if he is playing this with anything other than a joystick I don't accept this as a record, as that's how the game was intended to be played.
Modern Tetris is faster than classic, yes. To balance that, it's not nearly as strict (such as letting you move your piece after it hits the floor). Classic Tetris requires very tight movement and misdrops can put you in tons of trouble, while mistakes are generally easier to clean up in modern Tetris. They have vastly different play styles.
Incredible! This was such a long standing record, 12 years standing before you took it! Legend!
Good for you human! Your species never fails to amaze me!

This is what happens when you jab a USB plug directly into your eye socket and use your brain as a controllet

This is ridiculous! You are a living legend Eric!
One of the most insane videos I've ever seen. Never thought Tetris would make my jaw hit the floor for (almost) 4 minutes straight.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, go see someone beat Tetrimidion on maniac or watch a video of the glitched colors!

激ヤバい!世界初のSHIRASE CLASSICサブ4おめでとうございます!🎊
Holy cow, well done !
Fabulous run
This is absolutely insanity, Eric! Incredible accomplishment. I can only hope to get even remotely close to this level!
Unbelievable. It's scary to think a human can play this fast.
It’s pretty much the Zenith of humanity’s reflexes.
cleanest bone block segment I've ever seen
probably the best tgm player of all time. congrats Grand Master Eric
This is some of the best tetris play Ive ever seen, congrats on everything, super impressive
So fast World Champ ....Well done
My god, I can't believe my eyes. Such speed and precision O_O at times reminds me of the tgm2 TAS.
Just saw your other shirase video yesterday, now this. You’re the fucking GOAT Eric!!
Very impressive and incredible. So, why don't you play WORLD RULE?

very nice game
TGM 3 is possibly the most hype version of tetris, its very fun to both play and watch :3
I am in awe at the size of this achievement.
The sounds of angry slot machines never ceases to entrance.
damn, that was pretty sick
Incredible.
Nice work Eric! Flawless execution except maybe like twice... but looking forward to the next one :^)
This an incredible pace !
shockingly clean, especially after 1000
You deserve more subs 😊
Holy shit that shirase run was beyond insane damnn
Beyond insane and INHUMANE!
Truly Amazing!
I refuse to believe that you're human
Trust me, Humanity has fought even harder challenges. I do get how insane this is though!
Absolute beast
Siiick ! Gg
Amazing! Why isn't this on the Leaderboards? I still see ZAB's Run on First Place
Watching this at 2x speed is wild
Most beautiful Shirase game I've ever seen. Huge Respect!
The ASCII blocks are funni XD
insane, thx for uploading. Its also nice to see you shine in a other Tetris game. GG Eric
Sorry for question. But you playing on arcade machine or pc port (and sorry for bad English)
this is insane
i can barely do even s13 on 45 hz refresh rate with world rule
Wonder if this is easier or harder than crashing the NES version.
amazeballs
Well, I need 3:53:63 only to decide where to put the first s-tetramino... 😁
what the heck is that pace 😳
Warp drive!
Sometimes I wonder if this is not Tool-Assisted. XD Great Job!
Believe me. Humanity is at some extent surpassing a couple of TAS’s
Ayyy on video too!
Amazing
so clean
Also the game refusing to give gold ST badge until the end? This game is too hard xd
that badge is completely dependent on relative skill, there are multiple WRs with only silver SKs because the player never set a new section time PB.
my fucking brain! hoooollyyy cowwww!!!!! HOOOOOWWWWW?!?!??!
My bro can said "u suck" and its still is valid💀
WHAT THE HELL
You made 1200 like trivial
Amazing! Do you play this with a keyboard or a joystick?
If he says anything other than joystick than he's admitting he downloaded the game, so I doubt you'll get an answer.

What platform was this played on?
A computer I believe.
thumbnail looks a bit rough. maybe a hybrid player could get that over
gg
from 1000 to 1300 you didn't use hold at all dang
🤯
I don't know this game but it's faster than nes tetris killscreen
Definitely faster than the glitched colors for sure
