I was, however, not enough of a misanthropic jackal to point that out when his understanding of knitting was poor enough to merit enough jokes already. You said what we were all thinking.

    • @SimonBuchanNz
      @SimonBuchanNz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hammad is right. Inertia is the property of matter from Newtonian physics stating that an object that is in motion will stay in motion until/unless an external force acts upon it to change it. So stating that Corrections is like inertia in that it keeps us from getting anywhere is factually incorrect. Assuming that we are already in motion, we will get somewhere...just maybe not where we intend or want to be. Like the graphics department.

    I'm so happy that "Corrections" is staying audience-free. I've gotten really into the quirky vibe that the show has taken without having an audience. I realize it's harder to do comedy without audience reactions, but y'all have risen to that challenge, met it, and surpassed it by a HUGE degree. Please consider doing some more web exclusive audience-free stuff for us please? I'd hate to see the show lose the whole witty deconstructionist vibe it's found (which is honestly, harder to pull off with an audience). Thanks for reading! 😊

    It took one “reflections” [graphic to come] for Seth to disarm half of the jackals into the teddy bears so many of us hide beneath our jackal armor.
    HOWEVER, we mustn’t fall into his trap, so regarding the “neither... [n]or” debacle:
    EITHER Seth was laying jackal bait OR he made a gruesome grammatical error that deserves correcting.
    Since I have NEITHER a wife to agree “that’s despicable” NOR a husband to call for a jackal mob, I will have to say that’s EITHER “beep"-ing OR “bleep"-ing abhorrent.
    Side note: this snafu NEITHER changes NOR lessens my love of and gratitude for Correctshuns and the entire late night crew, but we jackals cannot let things like this slide or you might think we’re no different than *gasp* an audience.

    When Seth mentioned that he's aware much of the Corrections audience doesn't want the live audience back, it immediately warmed my heart. It felt like, stay with me here, a divorced parent starting to date again. He could just do it and completely ignore how the kids/audience feels about it because it's his life/show and it will ultimately probably be a good thing, but he took the time to sit us down and let us know we were heard and there will always be time for just us in this little place we've built.
    Yes, that is a little dramatic. That was the feeling, though. And it was really nice.

      That is a very sweet and oddly (creatively?) heart-string pulling description - of course with the obligatory Jackal Daddy goofy graphics at the beginning and end, he lightened the mood. I think I'm not going out too far on a limb by suggesting that the "Graphics Go Here" card and music were just as much to keep him from tearing up as us. I totally get it that a comedian needs the audience - or else he'd be the funniest guy in the corporate lunch room. But it was super nice to hear that he started reading our comments for that same reason! Our jackal family stuck it out together and there is nothing like a crisis to prove that a family has what it takes to keep it together! My little jackal paws will be clapping on Monday, as bummed as I am that the step-kids are back from vacation. 💜

Kills me every time. I do love that you carry on a joke for weeks because it gives those of us who have been here since the beginning a sense of insider jokes. I live your work and look forward to it always. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your family on the show again for Thanksgiving. I’m also hoping day drinking will make a comeback.
