I could put this on replay and listen solemnly while I drive for hours alone into the mysteries of the night... FOREVER. Best theme music ever, best show ever. Period. No hesitation. Fan for life. Thanks for posting.
I met Lance Henrikson at The Fan Expo here in Toronto, Canada. He is a really nice gentleman. He asked me if I watched his show Millenium and I told him I did and I loved it!
This is one of those themes one just can't stay away from... There's something in it, that makes people listen, even if they don't want to. And it's also probably the creepiest themes ever made.
Truly one of the greatest shows ever produced. Rewatching the series not long ago, I was struck by how intense and dark this show was even by modern standards. I mean my God, some of the episodes were among the darkest material I've ever seen, and this from a TV series that ran more than a decade back. Truly remarkable, truly amazing.
Strange. The same exact thing happened to me not more than a week ago. The whole mood the show gets you into leaves you wanting so much more in the end. Now I cant stop watching it.
For those who want a movie keep wanting because it ain't gonna happen.....this was TV for the critical thinker. The third season had episodes that crossed the line in regard to their content. If you can't figure that out, go back and watch it from the beginning w/netflix or buy it. Absolutely the best series ever made, first rate writing, acting, production. Today it's the jersey shore, devo.
They did give us a sense of closure. Those jerks had him on the X Files showing Frank as a nut and nothing more than dillusional. They totally pissed on all of us who followed Millennium with this crap. I know the government (as per Dean Haglund) was feeding them scripts. It's my firm belief they did this along with cancelling the series as an effort to quell w2k panic. It still sickens me
i haven't seen the show, though i do know that any loose ends that were left when the series ended were apparently tied up in a crossover with the x files, in a seventh season episode called 'Millenium', i do know that Frank Black (the fantastic Lance Henriksen) is in it
silvernail6 Breaking Bad is not even in the top 30, it's a rip off of so many series and it doesn't say anything about anything, the writing is so stupid. 5 - The Twilight Zone 4 - Millennium 3 - Buffy 2 - The X-Files 1 - The Wire.
Fuzzy Dunlop Breaking Bad captures where Amurika is at currently.......broke, festering with corruption and the destruction of the family.....Vince worked with Chris Carter on XF and Millennium...however things have changed...gotta sneak Carnivale and True Detective in there somewhere....

God I miss this show, it was so dark and mindful.
This is one of those themes one just can't stay away from...

This theme brings back lots of memories. Not just of the show but of the time too. That mid to late 90s era. Snow's music does that.
this is a epic intro song
Miss this show. Watched it with my Dad after xfiles. Chris Carter is amazing
I got to meet him here at the Sci Fi convention in Goteborg. He is such a kind and down to earth man. Totally lovely!
.... Hands down the best intro composed for a TV series in the last 30 years.
I still remember the first day I saw a tv-episode of this.
Will never forgot it. It burn stuck in my memorie

So true love this series
It's been nearly 30 years since this show premiered and I reminisce on how great it was at scaring a normally jaded fan like me
Like the opening to Game of Thrones, this song gets to me everytime...
***** Yeah, the only difference being that the Game of Thrones' theme song is crap and this is a masterpiece.
Fuzzy Dunlop This theme is incredible, but Game of Thrones' is absolutely not crap.
+Jeferson Conte I think a better comparison would be Twin Peaks.
a show ahead of its time.
This is who we are
Strange. The same exact thing happened to me not more than a week ago. The whole mood the show gets you into leaves you wanting so much more in the end. Now I cant stop watching it.
This is who we are..
The Millennium soundtrack is available from iTunes (and other sources).
Best TV Theme ever!!
I always love how Frank always hangs up the phone before anyone can get a word in leaving them confused ..lol
i loved the background theme of the series . at first fighthing crime then conspiracy came .powerful
" we don't want to scare you, we want to terrify you"
best tv series....then all these reality shows came out
And terrify they did!

One of the best intro music ever.
still gives me chills
best show ever
galarius yea it was
If only this show knew what was in store.
Then the universe implodes because of the awesomeness.
Amazing TV series, am revisiting it now
God this show was amazing! Flagged near the end when they tried to get a bit X Files but season 1 was some of the best TV of the 90s
wait worry who cares? this is who we are ...the end is near
It´s ¨the time is near¨
@@ergheiz83 Hahaha owned :)
I loved this show when I was younger.Yes,my parents let me watch it when I was 5 or so.That may be why I'm so demented as an adult.
Queen McGee I'm surprised that your parents let you watch it at such a young age this show was meant for adults not kids
The song is by Mark Snow, but I haven't been able to find it on the sites i use and I don't use limewire, which I have heard has it.
They did give us a sense of closure.
Those jerks had him on the X Files showing Frank as a nut and nothing more than dillusional.

Spin-off show about Frank Black's daughter with Frank cameoing???
i haven't seen the show, though i do know that any loose ends that were left when the series ended were apparently tied up in a crossover with the x files, in a seventh season episode called 'Millenium', i do know that Frank Black (the fantastic Lance Henriksen) is in it

any idea on the name of the song or anything? i love this song, and the show is the best ever.
Una de las 10 mejores series que haya visto.
@carleyb81 I miss this show! Your so right, they don't make great shows like this anymore!
Great show decent 'brother' show to the X Files Lance Henrikssen has a really deep voice, he did well playing Frank.
You should get your hands on it, it's really awesome...
Mítica serie. Muy buena en su tiempo

We are all shepherds.
YOU OWN EVERYTHING
FranK Black, I will be here forever, dont worry.
@am3037 OMG American Gothic!!!!!! I used to love that show, scared the crap outta me!!! They don't make them like those shows anymore...
@Blaiwnez right up there with the x-files really...
Anyone know where i can download this music??
i know how good was it. I reckon it was very underappreciated.
it's also episode 4 of the 7th season of the X-Files
Haunted beautiful😍
OUROBOUROS ... Millenium was shot at Lionsgate studios North Van BC
OUROBOURUS isn't that red dwarf
i thought this was the longer version
i don't know??? I didn't know there was a longer version...

Terry is, and will always be Peter Watts.
Just ask him
@posacut45 not sure, sorry
@AngriestAmerican I haven't no...

This show was only average, but that theme song is the best! It's even better than the X-Files theme, in my opinion.
Slick Vic yea it is
5. The Avenger 4. Breaking Bad 3. The X-Files 2. The Prisoner 1. Millennium
6. Millennium 5. Amazon 4. Lost 3. Alias 2. X-Files 1. Dexter
silvernail6 Breaking Bad is not even in the top 30, it's a rip off of so many series and it doesn't say anything about anything, the writing is so stupid. 5 - The Twilight Zone 4 - Millennium 3 - Buffy 2 - The X-Files 1 - The Wire.

silvernail6 : Breaking Bad may be representative of modern-day 'Murica, but it still doesn't stop it being poorly written, over-hyped trash
Oh the irony
