  • I do not own anything. It is a fan video.
    I found this show about a month ago, but immediately fell for Dorothy and afterwards for all of the cast members and the chemistry between them.
    I made this video for Dorothy Kilgallen's birthday, which is today. (03 July)

      Today, nearly, 60 years later, we now know that the CIA had absolutely nothing to do with her murder, or even the murder JFK - riiight! And, Jeffrey Epstein killed himself! Riiight! And, millions were not killed by a weaponize virus created in a lab! Just ask Dr. Fauci!

      You believe everything the media and government tells you don't you? How strangely similar her death, is to Marilyn Monroe's death. They were both murdered, for different reasons though.

    This is great and I have watched many episodes, many times. Mill4ka did you find the one where John Daley mentions Dorothy was awarded honorary NY Fire Captain and Chief? I saw it sometime ago and have been through many episodes trying to refind it.

    • @teddytodorova
      @teddytodorova  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ohh this definitely rings a bell, but I cannot recall now, as I am binge watching almost all day long and I mixed the years. I first seen 1956-1960 then return to 1953-1956, I think it might be somewhere between 1953-1956, but I might be completely wrong. If i run across it I will let you know.

    • @teddytodorova
      @teddytodorova  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I cannot believe. I just bumped into it. It is the episode 15 Sept 1963. Tony Randal mentioned it when he introduced her, and then John during the first contestant.

    Teddy, do you know what Dororhy is talking about when she says it's not anything like an artificial tail is it? Don't laugh, we've had one once.

    • @teddytodorova
      @teddytodorova  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, because they had someone who made false tails for horses. There are some occupations that are so specific, you cannot think there is someone who does that. And the panel many times was WTF?! (once they had someone who counted fish and Dorothy said "You are joking"!)And at one point they just weren't surprised any more no matter what the occupation is, cause they've seen it enough

    Awesome collection for such a wonderful sharp, versatile person, as Steve Allen pointed out the show after her shocking death, the panel didn't get any of the lines, and the show was indeed never the same without her brilliance. I think they should've taken a week off, don't buy the excuse that Dick said on essence "the show must go on," and it's still shocking to me what happened to her that Monday night after her last show

    Why was Dorothy Kilgallen on "What's My Line?" frequently asking a mystery guest on the show if he or she ever studied dentistry? Did she actually expect a mystery guest to sometimes be a dentist? The poster of this video clip should have titled it, "My Top 10 Dorothy Kilgallen Moments on 'What's My Line?' ". There should be no apostrophe s after the name Kilgallen and the words "my line" should be capitalized.

    • @teddytodorova
      @teddytodorova  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      She was expecting the baseball player Casey Stengel who obviously studied dentistry

    • @fmphotooffice5513
      @fmphotooffice5513 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      True, but I think it was a throw-away question, that and the helicopter question. When you're on TV you have to be "on" every second- no "dead air". She was brilliant enough (and regarded very highly) so that when it was time to pass to the next questioner, she was confident enough to just use one of her standard stand-by questions from time to time, rather than making up an insipid quip on the spot the way some panelists trying to be witty would often do. It sounds like it was frequent, but it wasn't. This show ran for many, many years.

    • @ajplays7241
      @ajplays7241 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I knew where they had a person at one time be a dentist and no one knew and she meant it as a throw away question from then on

  • @jimmichaud8487

    Yes! I was hoping that the nudist colony woman would be one of the top 10 moments. Dorothy's "a-ha" moment was priceless! Not too shabby coming in at the runner up spot. An added bonus: the mystery guest star for that particular episode (aired 6/14/53) was none other than the legendary US Senator Margaret Chase Smith from my home state of Maine. "Small but mighty" state indeed (as Dorothy put it-who correctly guessed who she was).
