Installing the front lift kit on my vehicle just opened up a can of worms. I'm going to need to chop off the camber bolts and replace the LCA's too🙃 Great video, I will be using it for reference.
The small fittings for greasing the joints with a grease gun is called a "zerk." I'm surprised how small the control arms are. I thought they'd be more substantial.
Thank you Sergii! I'm trying to add camber bolts for my alignment and of course the factory bolts are frozen into the lower control arms. Your video is a great help!
I did same kind of work just to install camber bolts but I added lower control arms. I did add antiseize to the bolts to prevent them from sticking for future use .
Left and right front hubs only? Parts would cost around $200-$400 per pair and it's from rock auto. I don't think it's reasonable quote for 2014 Xterra, vehicle relatively new and bolts/nuts should not be seized. Front calipers and mount brackets should be removed for getting access for hubs, so it's might be better idea to replace rotors and pads if they are about to worn out.
Hello, it's about $1,600 CAD including rear shocks and rear rotors with brake pads because it was sold as a whole set. There is a way to remove control arms without cutting bolts but it will require to play with whole steering shaft on a driver side. However please check another source for confirmation because I'm not a mechanic.
@@thermobollocks Because they make wrenches in every size. Use the right size. Also they make specific tools to take the tension off the belt tensioner for belt removal. You run the risk of damaging the tensioner using an adjustable wrench. Again, right tool for the job. Just my 2 cents

About to tackle this soon. Just did upper control arm. What a pain.
What was the size of the lower control arm mounting bolts? I’m not sure if I missed that
What brand lower control arms did you purchase?

If you are replacing the lower arm anyway, just cut the whole thing off with your sawzall near the bolts to give you more room to work.
I think I am in for some cutting and grinding myself. Good video, very detailed.
Thank you.
That Rrrrrrrr roll caught me off gaurrrrrrd 😋
Thank you Sir! I will be doing this to my Titan in a few days.
Great video!!
Are those cambolts that you removed from lca? Or are the standard bolts.
Vid is good to go. Thank you sir.
How did you get the upper control arm bolt in that you cut?
I have 2014 xterra. Body shop quote me $699.99 parts and labor. Front suspension - front hub & bearing.
Is this reasonable quote?

Did you find the moog bearing hub online?
Correct, from rockauto.
how much did it cost for all those parts by themselves and is there another way to get the control arm off without cutting the bolt?

Great work
As soon as I see an adjustable wrench being used on a vehicle I cringe.
Why's that?

@@thermobollocks I see you've never stripped a nut or bolt when it slips off.
