I'm having a difficult time with a lot of things in my life at the moment. Some things I've heard you speak about that you've overcome and also just life in general. There's just a lot going on. And when I watch your videos each day it takes me out of a dark place and I see someone who has overcome a lot for one and also the style of the videos, your humour, the positive vibe you put out there. I just wanted to say it's a really high point in my day and always makes me really happy. So thank you and I hope you keep up doing what you're doing! ...Also, The Darkness ROCK! Best gig I've ever been to at the OVO last February in London. Thanks for all the great content Justin. Hope to see you guys again live soon!✌️Jake Xx
This channel has restored my faith in contemporary music and really cheered me up at a pretty bleak time for the world. You pick some great artists. Thank you everyone involved.
You know what else is f**king phenomenal? You guys, last night in Brisbane🤘🏻First time I’ve seen The Darkness since the Sydney BDO 20 years ago. Worth the wait. Well done sirs. We’ll done 🫡
Benson has one of the best male singing voices I've heard in a long time. FYI, he only just starting singing age 18 and was on American idol and then swedish idol. He is so talented.
A buddy plays drums for him and after his show in Seattle I said Benson's on-stage backflip off the bass drum mid-song was the "second most athletic move I've ever seen at the Showbox" When asked for clarification, I showed him my video of you doing a handstand and clapping your legs to the beat.
Show him David Lee Roth of Valen jumping off the drum riser 10ft high in the air and doing the splits in the late 1970s-early 80s,he was the most athletic and dynamic front man of all time.
I liked the mini Tommy Steel style intro .... nice. He can sing but I'm not a fan of the Capaldi Sheeranesque modern male vocal. That got better as the song progressed.
Benson has only been singing a few years and his talent just speak for itself. I came across him on Instagram and was immediately impressed. Saw him live before he hit the big time and I'll forever be grateful. It was in a small venue. We queued in puring rain for 3 hours and i looked/felt like a drowned rat by the time we got inside. I wouldn't change it for the world though. He blew everybody's faces off (to coin your phrase), note perfect 100% of the time and a great show man at that. When he hit the big note in Slow it down, everyone looked around at each other with their jaws on the floor! Would recommend you watch that next if you plan to react again. My 2 other faces are What was and Forever and a day. Great reaction again Justin
I'm still not sure there's enough in that song to hold my attention for more than one listen, but as a performer he's definitely got promise. Considering he's so young, I imagine that his voice could be even better in a few years time.
Yip. Tripping along thinking, "Oh, one of those songs with these singers again" then BANG! Hoping the rest of his songs are more like the chorus and looking forward to finding out.
It still astonishes me how fast Justin picks up on the melody, notes and rhythm of a song/peice of music.. still one of my most favourite musicians... by the way Justin your recent show in Melbourne Australia was beyond epic
I like the sentiment of the song. Sappy delivery usually makes me gag, but I feel he actually means it, which is so rare in pop. Also, when I hear emotive vocal phrasing like this I always worry the singer is about to go full emo, but he restrains himself here. So, thank you Mr. Boone for not going full emo.
Good day to you Justin... celebration!! It's my 47th birthday today. It's a pitty you are in Australia... going to have a great party😂😂. Have a nice day buddy
As a bit of a prog fan, I am a fan of a longer song, and of giving songs time to develop, but there's something in what you said. If it hadn't been on your channel I might have stopped listening to it before it got to the interesting part.
I was bored off my ass and would have changed the station had this come on the radio since it sounds exactly like everything else out there right now. And I would have missed the chorus which was the good part of the song. Hopefully he makes more songs like the chorus and less like the rest of it.
Came across this podcast. Lighting seems fine to me. I think it is a nice affect on your interesting shirt. I've heard this young singers voice surfing through radio stations. Yep, he's talented.
Could you take a look at Muireann Bradley - When The Levee Breaks? She's 17 from Donegal. She's a prodigy but not trying to prove something like what this artist sounds like. Please, please, please look at Muireann!!!! It will only be a good thing for sure if you do!!! I want to see you replicate her guitar work and singing.

Benson Boone has indeed seen a meteoric rise to fame in recent months. Benson exploded on TikTok with covers, and a few original songs. No, Benson Boone is not just a "hard" Noah Kahan. The chorus reminds me of Heart-Shaped Box. The little pause between please stay and the guitar bend.
Exactly what I heard.
“Hey, wait. I’ve got a new complaint…”😂
That's what it reminded me of! I couldn't figure it out and didn't know Justin's reference.
@@RTCPhotoWorkJustin's reference was to Mutt Lange producer of AC/DC and Def Leppard and his use of stomp vocal choruses.

Totally agree. This almost baby talk vocal in the verses has surely run it's race by now. Nothing wrong with singing in your own voice and accent.
Glad it's not just me. It's fucking horrible to hear
You voiced my thoughts exactly
I like hearing your takes but I stay for stay for the comedic chops 👌
He didn't come out of nowhere, his in the stars was a huge hit too, he's been producing music for a couple of years, he's a legend
The chorus is very Heart Shaped Box.
You said it like exactly I felt about the song . I hope Benson Boone will give us more of his rock voice in the future.🤩
This young man is such a talent … he’s one to watch… going to be epic .. ♥️
YESSSS Benson getting the recognition he deserves!!
I was surprised and delighted. I love the passion and power, it's amazing to see such raw truthful talent in a 21 Year old. Thanks again Justin!

It’s amazing to me how you can pick up so much in just a few cords of a song!
