I am not saying Blair was naive. Louis and Dan were so in love with her. But she wasn't honest with them and broke their hearts. But Blair truly loved Chuck.

He also seemed to genuinely fall in love with several other women (the French girl, Raina..). He and Blair have a passionate love that is so easy to root for but when you dissect how he actually treated her over the years it becomes clear that she should have ended up with Dan.
I mean Dan was sweeter to her but from season 4 to season six Chuck gives his everything for her (paying the dowry and everything and the prom thing in season 2) he’s always done things that Dan never could’ve thought of.

Similar to the book the "insider" he has written. She was the object of his affections and the only way he can express his love for his muse is to write it in a novel .
