I am doing this project on my car right now as we speak you're teaching that you just did was perfectly Dead on thank you for not leaving anything out great video great information thank you this is going to help me a lot putting my vehicle back together in the morning thank you so much for the Well Done video
@@robertsellers796 no worries glad we could help if you have anymore questions comment back and we will try and help! Thanks
I was looking everywhere for the size of the bolt, thank you very much sir
to replace the pin?
The shifter arm that you say there's not much to rebuild on is the part that causes the most play. When that 2 way universal joint at the end gets just a bit of play in it you have amplified slop in the gear stick. you drill out the rivets, replace the bushes inside (whether it be nylon or brass you can buy em online) and then use bolts to get it back together.
Yes that’s another way to go Lucky these ones were ok…..thought about fabricating a u joint or something
do you happen to know where i can find that bushingB
My linkage is incredibly bad, I have a video of it. Looks like I'm out of gear lol
Is in on the tube?
they are not sold anymore you would have to make some or something
I just had this done on my 1990 crx si today
LHT performance used a ball peen hammer to lightly hammer the riveted area to tighten up a little of the free play. It isn’t supposed to be floppy, but not supposed to be super stiff.

Yes we seen Johns video he does great work ours was not bad maybe a thousand or 2 of play the bushing is what was worn in ours
I have a question about the grill lights where can I get the original lights for it
What grill lights are you referring to
@@DIYKAI the original lights that are on the ram grill? I bought the ones you suggested for your grill but they didn’t work so I was asking do you know where I can buy the ones that come standard on the grill
@@Wes_off_road ok got ya though you were commenting on this video.
The original lights inside were cheap and we never found a replacement worth it….so we used flexible leds with sticky tape
@@Wes_off_road when you say didn’t work what happened?
@@DIYKAI the lights I bought didn’t work because there not flexible
Thank man ! I keep putting my boot on the wrong way I suffered a serious money shift because of it 🤦🏽♂️
Whole linkage fell out the bottom hanging on my exhaust,
Do you know if the connection part with the pin and u joints goes up or down ?
I noticed the connection is offset to one side not sure which way to install haha
We will look at the diagram in the shop manual and reply back later today
@@DIYKAI thanks I appreciate it big time 🙏
I tried to keep it all the same when removing but I just bought the car a few months ago not sure if the previous owner installed properly
