Awesome job, can't wait for us to get this in our hands. I only wish that the tracker 3d had ways to make the mask be tracked as well. Use the tracking data on the mask. An example would be if using premiere (after effects), they have a feature called mask track. It isn't perfect but works great when doing simple masking and being able to mask things without having to go key-frame by key-frame. I am sure you guys are able to figure out how to put it in or if there is a way already, please teach us.
I have used a plugin from cormelt.com to track masks. It works really well once you get used to it. However, I have a feeling motionvfx could do an even better job :)
Bah, while risking sounding repetitive as heck, “mindblowing” has been my first word every single time I come to a MotionVFX related mTracker3D tutorial (or any plugin really). Quality is through the roof. The clever thinking is off charts, a dot ‘.’ as a 3D text to be a paintball sphere (which is great because, the dot not being that perfectly round makes it look like as if the shot ‘speed’ deformed a bit the spherical shape) The rotoscoping, that looked tedious... the shirt being black, wasn’t color masking as a jump start good enough? Anyways, epic, the result is amazing and the metal music, wrapped it all tidily for me. Enjoyed every minute of this epic tutorial.
can this plugin just do a 1 point track? (track a pointer to someone' s head and have it follow them) I am trying to avoid buying a competitors product since i currently read some shady stuff about them.
This is not a 1 point tracker because 1 point tracking is not an accurate technology and doesn't really work properly. Point tracker snaps to the pixel which changes very often which causes corrupted results. This is a 3d tracker where the camera is reconstructed from the footage - it is a very complicated process but very accurate.
If I was a betting man...since the Motionvfx websites does say that the mTracker 3D pre-order is "Valid till October 28, 2020," my best guess would be.....🤔

Apple's website (www.apple.com/macos/big-sur-preview/) claims "Coming this fall" so believe it's around the corner.
