Awwww I love it, y'all are too cute! I'm a cosmetologist and love doing nails!!! Heat spikes are from the gel being a bit too thick, you can prevent it by doing thin layers. Also, before putting whole hand into the light, turn it on and let the hand sit for about 30 seconds just in front of the light before the hand goes in all the way. Hope that helps 😊
