I used to absolutely love the sound of everything above 105dB, but at 44, that constant cab drone turns into a headache on any trip above 50 miles. Not to worry though, you never age out of the go fast stuff. You just like to get where you’re going way more quietly, lol.
Literally some of the best sounding mufflers. I have a set of them on my tundra too behind a set of jba longtubes duals with an x-pipe. They were expensive but worth it. Borla claims they don't have a break in period but they definitely do get a smidge bit louder after a while. Love rolling down all the windows and romping on it. Sounds so clean yet just the right amount of rowdy.
I bought the exact exhaust about 2 months ago, same headers, x pipe and borla mufflers and have been waiting to put it in my 2006 white Sierra. Now that I’ve heard a video of what it will sound like makes me so excited.

Gonna throw on 8 inch tips and might add an h pipe or resonators to tone it down just a little bit because im getting tired of the it being obnoxiously loud lol. NC here.
In Florida i charge $300 for cat back up to 2.5 pipe. For a full 3inch setup tied into long tubes, all welded no bolt flanges and someone supply their own muflers would be $400 . Seems alot of places charge high prices and people are ok with paying it. Maybe i need to charge more😂

What headers are you running? I have a 6.0 in my 4 door short bed and wanna start with headers but it’s 4wd like yours and I wanna make sure I got some that fit
do you just have the cam set up? did you do anything to the trans? im thinking about doing it to my cateye. some people say you need to put a different stall in the trans when you do a cam.
It all depends on what stage cam you go with a stage 1 or 2 will be good without a stall but I’d definitely recommend getting it tuned for your transmission’s longevity
$605 isn’t inflation I paid $230 in Atlanta for my Tahoe for a pretty similar set up. That’s not inflation that a shop seeing what they can get away with.
Give it some time for those Borlas to break in they will sound better then they already do. I’m definitely stoked to see a bumper back on the rear!

I did corsa universal muffler on my 2006 Vortec Max, and headers. Sounds great at idle and loud at WOT.
