    Damn that looks clean. One thing you could do with the left-over LEDs could be to add them to the 6.5" cutout in the doors to shine onto the speaker/glow through the grill. I commend your patience and taking your time on the install between work, it definitely paid off.

    You should mount the amp on an aluminum block using a fansink and sandwiched everything together with thermal gap pad. This will make the amp much cooler with significant less fan noise.
    Keep up the awesome videos

      Christopher Fox how would you do this? Any video links you can share?

    Looks really good. Sucks about the crossovers, but hey better equipment makes it worth the time.

    Since you have extra LEDs, what about mounting them hidden inside the vents, hooked up to the headlights? You'd get a nice red glow cruising at night. A guy I worked with used the little neon tubes, but the LEDs should work i assume.

    Looks clean dood. This has inspired me to finally hook up LEDs that I bought months ago into my boot. (I'm american I don't know why I just said boot. I guess I'm just trying to fit in.)

    Awesome job on everything like. As always like how attention to detail you are. Your an excellent installer wish I had someone like you installing my system. Over here they can care less how it looks as long as they get it installed for you they don't put to much time into how it looks and then they expect you to be happy with it. Just love all your work and enjoy watching the videos. Thanks

      That's what I'm worried about when it's time to get the amps and speakers installed.Finding a good professional installer. It looks good hidden, but what kind of rattrap is behind panels.

    Something I could recommend with those acrylic panels would be to try and use tempered or even laminated glass instead of the acrylic, my experience with acrylic side panels when building computers is that they are incredibly easy to scratch and difficult to keep clean. Also there are some other things with heat dissipation that you could pull from computer cooling systems but its probably overkill for an amp XD keep the videos up man I'm learning tons and will probably start installing my own audio system on my vehicle one day because of you!

    Hello, I just bought the same amp, looking forward to connecting in a few weeks. How warm does it run?
    After some time now, have the fans helped?

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey yea it actually does run quite warm to the touch, I found before I put the fans in it was affecting the plexi above it. Didn’t affect performance that I noticed. Now it still gets warm but the fans keep the air circulating so it doesn’t cook itself.
      I only needed the fans because I have my amp in an enclosed space as you can see, but if it’s in open air you don’t need them.

    When is the Sub going in?

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Andreas Koch this weekend I plan on buying fiberglass resin and some sort of interconnect for the box, so hopefully by the end of this week I will have the box glassed and prepped for the sub to go in

      Car Audio.etc sounds great. Will you make the box removable with some SMD type quick connectors or will it be more of a permanent wire install? I really do enjoy your Videos, especially when you do some problem solving on the go and I'm impressed with your attention to details for somebody your age. Keep it up and stay true to your style of blogging, it's good.
