I lost my dad over 40 years ago, but still think about him every day. the youngest of my 3 sons is 27 this year ( and he is the only one the ever seems to remember Father's day) but there are a lot of things on this list I would really love to see from any of the boys. and things I would have loved to give to my dad. thanks for the list. my favorite lock back of all time is the Buck 110 that I bought when I was in the FFA in 1983, and still have in the collection.
Happy Father's fay to all great Men out there. Thanks for keeping this world going. One day is not enough though, so I say celebrate and cherish the Fathers/realMen everyday.
Your the man... im 55 with a 5yo 12yo & 15yo... we typically spend half of summer in a tent in the North of Israel... unfortunately this year we are staying at our local beach... enjoy your day 💙
My daughter introduced me to Yeti Coolers year’s ago. Still a great often used piece of kit...which reminds me, I need to wash out all the fish goo from Friday’s trip...lol
Favorite lock back hands down is a buck. Favorite leatherman skelotool but lost it with a poor clip design but I’m really liking the wave+. I’m feeling a little extra and wanting an Arc.
Funny cause I basically have two EDC kits. One I focus on lightweight, the other is SHTF no holds barred. The first one I carry a Skeletool RX and the second I have the Surge! Favorite folder is Spiderco PM2 with full serrated blade, but the Cold Steel SR1 is a close second.
I bought my father Kyoto Global walkie talkies also my mom and my son. For this Father’s Day. They will work perfect for emergencies and everyday talking. Cut back less on the phone time. Plus they have a 6500 mile range and if 4G to 5G go offline they then work of satellites
My father is long gone. However, here is my list of gifts that I have given to relatives over the years, for their cars: 1. one AA battery flashlight with 4 batteries in a CHinese plastic pack; 2. Leatherman type tool or leatherman. 3. Folder knife 4. Whistle on lanyard 5. Within the last year, three family members have had car accidents, minor injuries and two cars totaled. Not their faults. This year, it is Israeli bandage with blood stop for the car. Separately, I have given the following gifts to some relatives in the last year: 1. fire extinguisher for the house. 2. smoke detector for the house This last year, the neighbor at the end of the block and his wife died in a house fire at night. No smoke detector. A couple of relatives got married in January 2024. Wanted a flashlight in every room of their house. Received them and chargers for the recharageable batteries.
Your intro was on the mark. “Honor thy mother and father.” My Dad is a terrible human being. He was an awful father. I have reservations about Father’s Day. But that is my challenge not evidence against honoring your father. Now I am a father to a beautiful little girl I try to shower her with love and attention. Figuring out the rest as I go.
I’m sorry you did not have a good role model on your father. But you have the awesome opportunity to be an excellent example for your daughter. We bless my friend.
Haha wish I had a dad who liked normal seeming dad stuff like this. Think my dad might want some lead white that isn’t produced anymore and I can’t get or a pochade box - but he already has nicer things like that than I could afford - probably wouldn’t like anything I got him tho 😂 interesting list- funny to think about getting my dad a knife or something how he’d react hahah- he’d think I’d gone mad I think
After buying many Leatherman models I ended up preferring the sidekick or the wingman both have what it is more than necessary for an EDC due to the rest have useless tools like the mini screwdriver or two blades, come on, so any of those two perfect as a gift
i know that might be a weird question but how do you teach your kids about your hobby and how to safely handle tools (no matter which) or how is your approach to this when the time come if it hasnt already😅. Thing is my wife already hate my collection but would probably crucify me if i give my kid anything sharper then a butterknife .. on the other hand i realy thing they learn proper handling while they are young a lot quicker
I want to do a video on that, but I don’t know if YT is gonna mark it as endangering younglings or not. They have their own “tools” that they can use under supervision only. We practice proper safety and it has been good for them. Short length and blunt tips help with safety while they learn.
I will give you two answers. With permission, I took an 11 year old nephew to a meeting with friends and a master armorer. The deal was that if he did the class (taking down a Garand to the individual pieces and put it back together), he would receive one. It is about 30 years later and he still has it. With permission, I took the 11 year old to a private range during a week. No one present. 1 Glock 17 and 1000 rounds of factory ammo, a target stand and targets. I started by saying that by the end of the day, he would understand human ergonomics and would be able to shoot accurately while sitting, standing up, and while in the process of standing up and sitting down. And by doing so in a relaxed posture. He accomplished that. It cost me 1000 rounds of factory ammo. (Paranthetically, if you understand ergonomics, you can shoot accurately while on the run with a pump 870 shotgun while running). We then started with monkey see-monkey do. We started with picking up the gun and pointing it in a safe direction. I demonstrated then he did it. Them, I picked up the gun, put it down with the muzzle in a safe direction and took out the magazine. Then he did the same. You get the picture. Every step was re-inforced by repetition. I can't refer anyone to a firearms instructor who understands human ergonomics - mine are retired. I will describe what is possible. I was in a shotgun class. A 17 year old with size 15 shoes was in the class with an 870. The end of the class had two examinations. No. One - walk in from 25 yards and while walking hit alternate metal poles serving as target holders with slugs. No. Two - a pod of helium filled, different colored balloons was released into the air. With the 870 mounted on his shoulder, he would shoot the balloon by called color. The kid had never handled a shotgun before the class.
G'day Aaron, personally I'm stoked with just a kiss and a hug from my daughters, ........ noth'n else like it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However socks/jocks and such always come along for the ride ; ) I'm so grateful for the thought and it does mean I never have to shop for those items, ....... which I hate with a passion !!!!!! Besides, to be honest, it does give me a few extra bucks to put towards outdoor gear ; ) That being said; I'll send them a link to this vid ........... as an experiment ; ) Cheers Duke. P.S. Lockbacks; Recon 1 in S35, Gator premo in S30 and 2018 LE Buck 110 in S35. Man, hard to pick the winner out of those, for different reasons, but I'll give the nod to the 110, because its a drop point version in my fav steel, together with, the history of the model overall.
God bless our fathers. Not saying that because of this, but I did appreciate it. Ordered a Digi-Cam Spyderco Mili 2 a couple of days ago. My dad ordered it as a kind of loan. It was very nice and I’m very grateful and excited. He got one too cause I mean they’re like $150 right now. Anyway keep up the great content, love you and your family man.

Avoid the Kershaw, get a Tramontina 👍😁 The Architect knife is a frickin AWESOME heirloom quality knife 😮 The P200 is a terrible bushcraft design with that long fragile blade tip. Spending over $50 on a chunky Casio watch is pointless. Never buy a headlamp that needs 3 x AAA batteries, it's a total PITA ! The Rovyvons are AWESOME 👍 Grayl water bottles are expensive, but unbelievably good !
How many dad's are out there are watching this to see what to buy for themselves???
It’s for your dad or for dads to pass along to their families for ideas. Always a big hit.
I'm a step dad to pre-teens so I gotta buy my own stuff
I know I’m looking for myself for Father’s Day 😂 Aaron always has amazing suggestions for gifts and tools
@@adamkreuz9068you’re appreciated! You deserve a Father’s Day gift! One day they’ll say thank you 🫡
Lol true that
GREAT list of gift ideas, and thank you for sharing your thoughts on the importance of fathers and fatherhood! I miss my dad every day.
I also love the Skeletool but also bought a Nextool Mini Flagship and Nextool Black Knight for the excellent scissors they have.
Definitely that time of year dads are firing up the grill and or smoker. Any utensils, thermometers, or recipe books make a great gift.
Just adding this comment to help your channel. God bless brother.

I love my Civivi Elementium as my Daily EDC knife. Bought it for 1 year sober and Recently celebrated 4 years sober.
Happy Father's fay to all great Men out there. Thanks for keeping this world going. One day is not enough though, so I say celebrate and cherish the Fathers/realMen everyday.
Happy Father's Day to all the Great Dad out there... may your Dream EDC gear come True. Aaron i love your Channel ever since.
I appreciate that!
great ideas for certain !! for the Dad who has everything, consider AMMO !!!
Just became a dad 4 weeks ago! Wow what an experience. Already got him a SAK as his first tool 🤘🏻
That is awesome. Congratulations! Time goes by so fast cherish every moment.
Congrats and best of luck on the amazing journey 😁
Yes, Happy "Dad's" weekend!
I love your opening statement. So true.
Imo the best lock back of all time and still in my rotation is the buck 112.
Your the man... im 55 with a 5yo 12yo & 15yo... we typically spend half of summer in a tent in the North of Israel... unfortunately this year we are staying at our local beach... enjoy your day 💙
Spyderco Endura 4 is my favorite lockback.
I carry the prybrid classic in my watch pocket. Great tool. The latest with pocket clip hangs onto my shorts.
Respectfully, shouldnt it be "anyone can be a dad but it takes heart to be a father".. regardless youre right and thanks for the video!
My daughter introduced me to Yeti Coolers year’s ago. Still a great often used piece of kit...which reminds me, I need to wash out all the fish goo from Friday’s trip...lol

Yet again Aaron drops another great list. I just share these with my wife for birthday & Christmas at this point. Thank you 🙏🏽
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Aaron these FD ideas just took a lot of decision making wait off my wife’s shoulders- thank you for the dad that is “impossible” to shop for…
great list--well done!
Glad you enjoyed it
Watsup all GT family.? Now what would our dad wishes to have? We know Dad would like an Izula & Skeletool. Happy Dad Day Mr.GT. Cheers from Australia.
Fav backlock? The Spyderco Pacific Salt 2 is insane IMO. Lightweight, rustproof and sharp af. What’s not to love? Great video Aaron 👊🏻

I received the Kershaw LEEK Magnucut. I love it. I plan to do a video on it soon.
Very cool!
Shout out to the dads out there that know we ain’t getting nothing.😅

Try the new Lionsteel KC-01 in 3V
Leatherman has gotten way overpriced. I can get a Gerber MP600 for $55 or a Suspension NXT for $35. I just got a Gerber Truss on sale for $25.

What brand of hat is that? Looks super light weight and breathable.
amzn.to/4bZWtdR richardson rouge it is a great hat and less than $15
Great gift ideas. Can you post the link for the aftermarket belt clip for the leatherman? Keep up the great work!
Will do check back in ten minutes

Happy DAD Day I forgot about ANV product
Ya they are awesome!!
Cold steel recon 1
Would you strip the coating off an esee?
Just depends on what I was using it for. But I usually leave those type of coatings on less than a lot of food prep with the Knife.

What’s that g-shock? Not familiar with that one. Looks slimmer than most.
It’s an illuminator. Just look through the Amazon link and you will find it
Need some help. I think TH-cam is blocking my comments. Can someone respond please?

Never had a problem with them, and takes the same batteries as the hand radios!
The knife builder does not work
Sure about that? I just did one. Seem to let me go all the way to check out. Some steals aren’t available at the moment.
Love mine too. Super cool
