I will be checking out your content on a regular basis. This is my will to Live a better quality of Life. Proud to share this video Mike! <
Wow...thanks for subscribing and sharing this video. I will do my best to continue to post great videos. I am still new to this type of fishing and struggle somedays. But at the end of the day I will take a bad day of fishing over a good day of work. I hope you do great Friday. I fished the south pier and the light pole number was 57 I believe. Thanks for subscribing my friend.
I use 50 lb braid line with a 3 oz weight, 6' 40 lb mono leader and a #1 Squid spoon for mackerel, and in case a kingfish or bonita decides to take it. It's easer to land most fish without the line breaking. Aside from the spoon getting cut off a few times, the only time I have lost this rig was due to accidental hooks ups with sting rays.

What did you end up doing with the bonita? Eatting or something else?
I was going to use it for bait, but I found a gentleman who said he would eat it, so I gave it to him.
Crazzzzy. Never leaving my net at home. This is what can happen
Expensive lesson...lol. won't happen again.
What are you using to catch the Bonita ?? Sorry if you mentioned it in the video and I wasn’t paying attention.
I actually got two that day on a Gotcha plug.
@@Fish-Man-Mike thanks 😁👍🏽
Thanks for watching
@@Fish-Man-Mike of course, I love watching local videos since I live not too far from Tampa and Orlando
Great vid and nice catch! How heavy is your gotcha lure? What lb test for your mainline and leader? Thanks!
20lb braid to 25lb fluorocarbon. The Gotcha lure weight was a 7/8. Thanks for watching my friend.
What lure or bait did you use. I was there this morning (4/28/24) with my wife and we didn't catch anything worth a damn.
I used a silver Gotcha plug. Hope your next trip is better.
I've been seeing a lot of Bonito being caught this year. Very nice!
The few trips that I have made to the Skyway Pier, I have seen Bonita being caught. Thanks for watching.
So awesome fishing that pier ❤❤❤
It really is!

Thanks for watching
New sub awww man sux about the bonita whats the name of the lure please tight lines
I use a Gotcha plug. I prefer the silver body over the gold. Thanks for subscribing my friend.
Np u can also get bonita on that
@@Fish-Man-Mike I never use lures with treble hooks because by the extra time it takes to unhook an undersized mackerel, it is dead.
Thanks for the tip.
Yes sir
Can u also get bonita on that lure 😁
I got both of my Bonita on that lure.
I never understood people that fish for something big and don’t carry a net 🤷🏽♂️
I was actually fishing for Spanish Mackerel with a Gotcha plug. Was not expecting to catch Bonita. But I did learn my lesson and now have a net.
